Pay close attention when grilling.
There is nothing not to like so far with this grill. Ideal for two empty-nesters. But you must quickly learn to pay close attention to the progress of the grilling if you like your meat and fish medium or medium rare. I use a temperature probe and try to follow the online guides for the proper temperature. I initially dial up the highest temp marked at 400 degrees. The grill heats up very rapidly (less than 5 min.) and my practice is to sear each side of the meat for a couple of minutes. I then turn once more and leave it to the cooking process. If things are going too fast or some fat or marinade flares up I may cut the temp back a few degrees. Be sure to use a plastic spatula to avoid scratching the no-stick surface. For a nice salmon filet the first temp check at about eight minutes usually shows about 110 to 115 degrees. But the last 15 or 20 degrees toward my target of 130 to 135 for fish happens about as fast as it takes to tell about it. Overcooking is the biggest risk. I rarely cook a thick salmon or halibut more than 14 or 15 min total and sometimes less. The cooking is very even. Clean-up is easy using a small amount of dishwashing soap on a plastic sponge. It is even easier if I use a small no-stick reusable grill mat with light spray of Grilling PAM. Steaks take longer, of course, but still very fast compared to the gas grill that I still use for large family gatherings. Corn on the cob, smeared with olive oil, then salted with herbs and seasoned salt, then wrapped in aluminum foil and grilled, is about 25 min. so I put it on about 5 to 10 min before the meat. I have not yet tried the rotisserie. I recommend this grill.

Good product !
The media could not be loaded. FIRST it’s not 100% smokeless, obviously there’s going to be smoke from the grease. BUT it’s not a huge amount of smoke at all, I’d recommend putting it under a vent like I did. The food came out tasting great! But as you’d expect you don’t get that outdoor grill smoky flavor on it…but hey its an indoor grill for a reason. Great gadget for your buck! And can’t wait to try out the rotisserie feature ! Over All I’d recommend, good versatile tool in a kitchen!

Smokeless Grilling Indoors - Difficult to Clean
We have used the grilling function only so far for shrimp, chicken and vegetable shish kabobs. A few wisps of smoke but essentially smokeless, even when basting meat with marinade. Needed to set temperature at 450 degrees to speed up the cooking. The shrimp and vegetables were perfect. The chicken was difficult to cook thoroughly and took at least 25 mins per batch (next time will space out the chicken pieces on the skewers to improve cooking). The main reason this product is only 4 stars is the difficulty cleaning the grill grate. Needing to soak overnight and scrubbing extensively with a plastic scrubby and then using my fingernails and a wet paper towel to remove the burned on food from each grill grate is rather unpleasant. The interior is starting to build up some residue on the glass and chrome surfaces even with cleaning with a plastic brush and paper towels. Love being able to grill in any weather but will likely opt to use our outdoor gas grill when the weather permits. Looking forward to trying rotisserie function next!

Works well but the times seem a little off
I don't know if it isn't getting as hot as it should, or their expected times are just a little off. I used their instructions to plan a few meals and everything takes longer than it should. The rotisserie chicken especially took significantly longer than I expected it would. Once it gets up to temperature, the heat coils only seem to stay on for about 10 seconds before turning off for about 25 seconds, so I think it's just not maintaining the temperature correctly. I think it's cooling too far before coming back on to stay at temp. The device itself works very well. It works like a normal grill, just with electricity. I've cooked a number of things on it now and I'm overall happy with the outcome. I just need to plan for longer than it says I need.

First review and my first impression...
Received it today. The box was damaged in three places. I was hoping it was not handled improperly by the delivery man. When I opened the box, there was another box with some paper protection. That box looked ok. So opened it and there was another box, the original retail box. To make sure it did not suffer any further damage unpacked it, read the instruction manual, then plugged it into the outlet. Power led came on, but could not find the power switch. The instruction tells to operate it with the timer. Well...Design: Clean, but there is room for improvement such as power on/off switch and use the timer as a feature instead of using it as a power on/off switch. I can understand the logic behind it, but still not convinced.Accessories: The grill is somewhat thin and the finish is not that good as attached pictures, clearly indicating QC issue. Non-stick surface came with scratches and reveals a very thin and non-durable coating. (Will be contacting the customer service to address the issues. Let's see if the CS is good.) The fish basket came without the locking wingnut. The basket wire is also thin as well as the kebab wheel (came bent already) and skewers. The tray that collects the fat/grease/etc is thin but well designed and slides out with no effort.Rotisserie: Very quiet for the first 15 min or so then started making noise, low for now.Housing: About 2/3 of the lower body becomes warm, but the top part gets HOT. The test run was set for full 90 min.Timer: Used to turn the heater on and off. It makes the tic-tac noise that traditional cheap portable kitchen timer makes. Very annoying.Suggestions for improvements: A raised glass lid will be plus. Power on/off switch. Better wall insulation to make the unit cool to touch. Digital control with digital timer. Accessories made with a little more sturdier/better quality materials.Reliability: Since the manufacturer/vendor claims that it was built to last for a long time, let's see. Hope it does not die on the day 366 or 367 just after the warranty.Since the unit survived the first 90 min test run, plan to cook a lot to test all functions/features. Once the full test data has complied, will update this review.Update on Aug 5: Chicken and meat Kebabs came out good. Technically there was almost no smoke. Only when the fat splashed to the side glasses that are very hot some smoke was produced. When that happens the glasses and the bottom housing get browned and it is somewhat hard to clean. The grilling worked fine too. I also used the wide kebab skewers to cook Shish Kebab and they came out very good too. Used the rotisserie to cook a thick strip of pork belly at 400 F for 45 min. Awesome result! Toasty outside and juicy inside. I used to bake and broil them in the oven. This one came out a lot better. So far, it is doing a good job. One thing new: The rotisserie began stopping for 1 sec on every turn. Will update if it gets worse.
