Great price for basic tape
This has a great price point for what it is. It is basic tape. It's not an super high quality tape that you might get with a brand name. But it works for what I need it too. It's definitely not transparent. It looks quite white when used. And against some colors it even looks a little more like paper. I really like that the dispenser is included. It's pretty good quality with some weight to it. You can't really use one hand to dispense the tape because the weight isn't enough. You need to use both hands.

Amazon Basics Matte-Finish Tape Review
If you're on the hunt for reliable, everyday tape that won't break the bank, the Amazon Basics Matte-Finish Tape is definitely worth considering. Here's my take on this handy office and household staple:Packaging and Presentation:The tape comes in a pack of six rolls, each neatly wrapped and ready to use. The packaging is straightforward and functional, which is exactly what you'd expect from a basic office supply. It's easy to store the extra rolls until you need them, and the translucent design makes it easy to see how much tape is left on each roll.Quality and Performance:The matte finish on this tape is a great feature. It gives the tape a nice, clean look when applied, and it doesn't reflect light, which is perfect for labeling or crafting projects where appearance matters. The tape adheres well to a variety of surfaces, including paper, cardboard, and plastic. I've used it for everything from wrapping gifts to sealing envelopes, and it holds up well every time.Ease of Use:At 0.78 inches wide and 27.8 yards long, each roll provides a generous amount of tape, so you won't find yourself running out too quickly. The tape dispenses smoothly from the roll without any annoying tearing or sticking, which is a big plus in my book. It tears easily by hand, so you don't always need scissors, making it convenient for quick fixes.Value for Money:Given the quality and quantity you get with this 6-pack, it's hard to beat the value offered by Amazon Basics. It's an affordable option for anyone who uses tape regularly, whether for work, school, or home projects. The performance is comparable to more expensive brands, so you're definitely getting your money's worth.Overall Impression:The Amazon Basics Matte-Finish Tape is a solid choice for anyone in need of a dependable, no-fuss tape. It performs well across various tasks and offers excellent value for money. Whether you're stocking up for the office or just need some tape for around the house, this 6-pack has you covered. It's one of those products that does exactly what it's supposed to do without any unnecessary frills, and sometimes, that's exactly what you need.

Why some tape doesn't work I'll never understand
This is tape and it does what it's supposed to. Scotch magic tape NEVER tears on the teeth the way it should. I don't know if it's because of what the tape is made out of or the plastic teeth are subpar but this tape works perfectly as it should. This has always been frustrating to me (so much so I'm writing a review for tape lol) because I thought scotch was a brand name that isn't generic and should work right. Will only buy amazon tape from now on.

It’s cheap tape, you get what you pay for
You’re buying cheap, generic tape so don’t be surprised with what you get. Does it work? Does it stick? Yes it does but low costs means drawbacks. It’s not scotch magic tape, just cheap film with adhesive on it. The following are downsides but the tape still works just fine.1. The film is both too strong and too weak. It’s harder to tear off a piece because the tape just stretches and resists cutting. The film is also super floppy and collapses down rather than hanging straight when you hold it.2. The adhesive might be a little too strong as weird as that sounds. Magic tape releases the paper without too much ripping of paper layers with not much effort. This tape tries to hold on and usually takes a thin layer of paper off rendering the tape unusable again.3. Some reviews mention it’s a little stinky which is true but it probably won’t matter that much to most people unless they are sensitive or have no ventilation. After using this tape I realized how well designed magic tape is for usability. Whether it’s worth the price difference though is up to you. If you use tape a lot and rely on ease of use and convenience, you should probably get the good stuff. If you just need to tape some stuff every so often and price is more important then this tape is good enough.P.S. If you’re using work funds, just get the good stuff.
