Excellent product. Effective & affordable.
I live in an area affected by active wildfires in Colorado. Air quality intermittently poor, occasionally very bad. I'm normally affected by airborne allergens such as dust & pollen. I can usually tolerate my fairly mild symptoms: itchy eyes, rhinitis, sinus congestion.etc.Since the smoke and ozone pollution exacerbated these symptoms, I bought the Medify MA-25 in order to create a 'clean' room. (My bedroom). After first night of use, I woke up with no sinus congestion for first time in years. I usually sleep w/ windows open, unless pollen levels are high. The MA-25 allowed me to keep windows closed (by eliminating room stuffiness) and proved that my allergies to even 'normal' air were worse than I thought. I'll be using it frequently even after wildfires abate. The unit has 3 fan speeds. The top speed is a bit noisy and I only use it when I'm out of the room. The middle speed is indeed 'whisper quiet'. Some white noise. No sleep disturbance. The lowest speed sounds as if unit isn't on at all. It's recommended to upsize purifiers for frequently occupied spaces so lower fan speeds can be used and still achieve proper purification.I highly recommend this well made, high performing, affordable purifier. It meets all requirements of CARB & Energy Star.Another plus: company is woman and veteran founded and is USA based though the unit is manufactured in China.I'll update review when it comes time to change the HEPA 13 filter.

IT WORKS!
I bought this thinking that it would do very little in terms of scrubbing the air for dust and debris. I had read some reviews stating that it didn't do anything for them, and that it was not as good as X or Y product. This has not been my experience at all. I have owned this for over a year now, and it collects MASSIVE amounts of dust that I didn't even know existed. At the first filter replacement interval, I wiped the surface of the filter media, just out of curiosity to see how much dust it had actually accumulated. I was genuinely horrified and relieved at the same time when I saw the results. Horrified because the sheer amount of dust this unit collected on the filters was staggering. I didn't even know the air could be so dirty. I was relieved though because all that dust was now on these filters and not in my lungs. I can definitely say that my lungs have felt better, and I can breathe easier at night since I've purchased this unit. For reference, I run it at max speed throughout the day, every day, when I'm not in the room. Then I turn it down to the lowest setting and leave it running while I sleep. The noise is barely noticeable on the lowest setting, and it's placed within 3 feet of my ears.My only complaints are that #1 the filter replacements are quite expensive, but I guess it's fair since it actually is doing what they claim, and #2 when I bought this, it was about $200 for the single unit, and now I see that they have a 2-for-1 deal going on for these. I would have preferred to buy the 2-for-1 back then instead of the single. I'm honestly really happy that I bought this one, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again if I needed to.

Love these air purifiers
We have 3 of these— two of the largest size (M50 I think): 1 for the main floor of the house and 1 for the walkout level, and this smaller size for the master bedroom. Have cut down greatly on dust and improved overall air quality in our home. We change each filter every 6 months; no issues with allergies (even though the manufacturer says to change the filters every 4 months…). The older units are 3, and 5 years old still look/work like new.

Bought a second one despite a few quirks
This is a good air filter.I'd purchased one for my bedroom, and even running at the low setting, it noticeably cleans the air. There are a few quirks that could have been done better, but rather than trying a different filter (and needing to buy two different sets of replacement filter elements) I'd bought a second one for my living room. The good: It's quiet, it's easy to use, it's lightweight, the visual design is pretty, and it fits in my space – almost. The quirks:The power cord plugs in the back, which means that the unit can't be placed next to a wall. It has to be about 2 inches away from the wall. The sides and the front can't go next to a wall either because that's where the air vents are.The control panel is on the top. There is space on the front where the control panel could go, but it's on the top. Unfortunately, this means that you can't put anything on top of the unit. It's the perfect size to put down a book you're reading on, but you can't. Also, good luck explaining to your cat or bird that they cannot perch on top of the unit..The indicators are integral to the control buttons, not adjacent to them, this means that you cannot blackout the indicator lights with black tape without interfering with the controls. There is a button to dim the controls, but that button also glows, but it is significantly dimmer than the other buttons. However, if the unit is off, the power button flashes, and the dim functionality does not work.In my bedroom I find the dim function sufficiently dim, and the fan quiet enough to sleep nearby, but if I want to turn it off when sleeping, I need to unplug the cord to turn of the flashing power button, and that's annoying. But again, it's a good air filter, and despite the quirks, it's good enough for me to buy a second one.
