great for car-rides or quiet time play
I bought these for my 16 month old as she is interested in coloring lately. I LOVE these!! These books are excellent for younger kids who still put everything in their mouths out of curiousity...and could end up coloring on walls or furniture. This just uses water in the little brush. My daughter thoroughly enjoys these books. We keep one in the car if she gets bored as well as the other 2 in the house for quiet playtime. Very neat idea and the pages dry out back to plain so you can use them over and over again. The only 'con' that I have noticed is that my daughter realized there is water in the brush and likes to suck on the tip...this is not good because it will be hard to transition her to actual markers/crayons and prevent from sticking in her mouth...at least until she realizes it is not water.Packaging: My item was shipped right away, and I received prompt notification. I received it on time and it came as expected.Thank you for reading my review, please let me know if you found this to be helpful. I like to know that it is worth my time to write these reviews. Have a great day!I rely on reviews to help me make a decision when shopping online. I do keep my posts updated if the item breaks or exceeds my expectations for an extended time.

My son loves these!
My mom bought my two year old son one of these books at the airport and he loved it! He played with it so much that the cardboard couldn’t dry out quick enough and started to curl after a few months. You may see that as a downside but I see that as a toy enjoyed to the fullest. Also, at the time my son was barely two so he didn’t get that he couldn’t just keep wetting the same page over and over again.Anyway, recently I came across this set on Amazon and thought I’d get it for him since it was such a hit before. My son was super excited when it arrived! He is now 3.5 so he understands he can color/paint the page but then needs to either move to another page or let that page dry out. The pages dry on the surface quickly but if they are repainted too often, too quickly, they can get over saturated. This activity keeps my son engaged for quite awhile. He loves trying to remember where each item is on the seek and find list and overall painting each page and seeing the picture appear. These are great for car trips, restaurants, or any place you kiddo wants to paint/color but getting messy isn’t an option. Each page has a little seek and find list at the top for a little bit more fun than just painting. A water pen/brush comes with each book and has a handy storage spot on the front of the book. Filling the pen once goes a long way. Pages dry quick but can get over saturated if your child colors the same page over and over without letting it dry. Just as a heads up the brush does screw together in the middle so if your little one is handy like mine they may figure out how to unscrew the bottle from the base which can lead to a small water spill.

Easy to use
Super easy for kids to use, not messy which is great for young kids! Perfect for the car or on the go. Just add water inside the handle of the brush, and then kids can paint. Dry up pretty fast so they can be reused and still work really well after multiple uses. Good price for getting multiple in the pack. Would purchase again!

Great for Travel
Melissa and Doug products are always a hit with the toddler set. Purchased these for a group of little ones who would be taking a long car trip. Their mom told me it held their interest and provided a fun activity in the car.

the kids love these, and no mess (other than a little water) and reuseable!
the kids love these, even my 7 yo. they are great for in the car, restaurant, or just letting the kids do coloring activities with no worries of coming back to find markers or paint all over the wall/table/kids/etc...the "brush" holds the water well and doesnt leak out excessively while the kids are using them. While fun enough for my 7yo, they are easy enough that we use them with our 2 yo regularly.bought this pack to give as stocking stuffer at Christmas cuz the kids cant get enough of themDid I mention they are reusable - HUGE PLUS!!!

These books are great!
I can't say enough good things about these books! These books are a hit with my 2 year old, but my 5 year old also enjoys playing with them (and I actually enjoy them too!). These books are small enough to throw into a diaper bag and bring along to entertain the kids when we are out. All you need to enjoy these books is a small amount of water. When the page dries, you are ready to paint again. The water pens are the right size to fit in a small child's hand. Another fun aspect is the hidden objects you need to find on each page as you reveal them. The only downside to these is that the page eventually do begin to show signs of wear. They begin to curl and fold a little after heavy use, but the books are still useable and it does not affect your ability to color.

Clean, easy to use, toddlers love them
These are fantastic. I don’t trust some of the “magic” coloring sets from other brands because those markers will leave marks on certain types of materials. These are just water so you can feel completely safe that they won’t damage anything. I like that I can let my toddler play with these unsupervised. They’re great for use in the car too. I personally rip off the little plastic “pen holder” because then the books stack flat which makes storage much easier. I just keep the pens in a ziplock bag when not in use. We’ve got tons of these and I’ll keep buying new sets. Great non-messy gift for other people’s kids too!
