The media could not be loaded. Assembly was a breeze, quality was top notch and the smell of fresh pine was amazing. I got it yesterday evening assembled it and put a swarm in it this morning. Absolutely no regret in buying this hive.

Has anyone had any problems with bees dieing In this hive? Got mine , put it together 2 days later had a huge swarm come out , caught the swarm in this hive it was a big strong healthy hive, 5 days later every bee was inside of it dead on the bottom floor , thought they could have got into something but my other bee hives was feet away from it and doing good and still doing good , just wondering

Bought a NuBee hive because it was the same brand as a second hand one we bought from another beekeeper who had bought direct from Galena Farms a couple of years ago - the quality is not even comparable.Discovered the telescoping lid was broken mid-way through painting it - broken corners where staples pulled out of knotty wood, the sides were loose, gaps between the sides and lid that the sheet metal did not cover. Basically needs to be rehabbed before I can use it.The inner lid feels like it's made out of balsa - the pine is so soft and low grade, it's got huge shavings from where the timber was cut on a rip saw, and the inner lid is out of square with poorly fitted joins that are loose - I will also need to repair it before use. Looks nothing like the inner lid on our other NuBee hive.The bottom board is pictured as having a ply base (which is what our other NuBee hive has) - the one provided uses really low quality pine boards, and feels like it only has half the weight of the other bottom board. Also shoddily assembled. Literally pouring paint into gaps hoping that hive beetles don't make a home.The pros - the hive bodies themselves are fine, and the frames/foundations are fine - but honestly, I'm wishing I'd spent a little more for higher quality. Cannot recommend purchasing this item until the numerous quality issues are addressed. I really was expecting a hive as nice as the ~2 year old NuBee one we already have. Really disappointing.EDIT - downgrading from 2 stars to 1. The lid has literally disintegrated in rain - expanded in every direction, all staples pulled, top board warped, utterly useless. That's kind of the point of a telescoping cover - to protect the hive. Shouldn't fall apart because it gets rained on.

Very good quality for the price. Will buy again. Fast shipping. Can't say enough good things about this beehive. I highly recommend this product.

So far only built half but seems to be good quality compared to our other hives.

Material was shoddy. Top was warped and buckled so bad that it split. So many knots in the hive body and frame wood, had issues with splitting. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in this product. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Tried to contact seller with no reply. 🤦🏼‍♀️
