Q: Are these good for pruners?

Yes, small and thin, so you can get most of the blade sharpened. To get 100 % of blades sharp, disassemble the pruner, if possible, clean and sharpen the blades, reassemble. Great hones!

Q: What is the grit # on each of these files?

Super Fine - 1200 grit, Fine - 600 grit, Medium - 400 Grit. List is on the backside of the set I bought.

Q: Why does it take 1 to 2 months to ship? I would like to order them sooner.

If you click on the “ other sellers “ link, you will find other options than purchasing from Amazon directly. These third party resellers will likely have them in stock. I currently have quite a few in stock and ship within a day or two.

Q: can these be used to sharpen a carbide edge, e.g., carbide circular saw blade?

Theoretically Yes - Diamond is harder than tungsten carbide. The handles are plastic and have some flex though. The abrasive diamond coated area is much stiffer and doesn't flex under normal use. But, to get the angles right on a circular saw blade you'll need a jig - it might be cheaper and less frustrating to send it off to a tool sharpening service.
