Q: how does it hold up outside in cold (new england) weather?

I used it as glue to hold styrofoam to concrete under water to prevent puncturing a pond liner. It has been 3 years and it is still working. The pond freezes every up state NY winter.

Q: Is this essentially the same product as the yellow expanding foam, just a different color?

Chuksim, i don't know the yellow expanding foam is, but if you are looking for pond seal, then this product will good to bond plastic and rock, rubber together.

Q: can this waterfall foam freeze if it left out in the cold to long

This product has held up well in our waterfall and pond rocks during Ohio winters.

Q: Can this product stand up to hot sunlight? I need something to stop leaks on my solar pool heating system, the panels are made of black rubber

I bought this product, versus the normal, yellowish variety, to withstand ultra-violet deterioration. So far, it has performed as I had hoped for.
