Nice basket
Box came pretty badly damaged and slightly torn open. Doesn't appear to be damaged. Pretty good basket.

We turned this in to another back yard drinking game. Now my wife will play disc golf with me!
The media could not be loaded. I love it. Buy one. I haven't used the case yet, but it packs up easily and I definitely plan to bring this on my camping trip in 2 weeks to play with friends.A few times I've gone out before work when it's still and quiet and really noticed how loud is. It sounds like the ping of an aluminum bat at a baseball game, which makes sense because the poles are aluminum. I believe most of the disc golf courses I've played at use thicker steel poles which are much quieter.Since my neighbors might not appreciate hearing my glorious puts as an alarm clock, I took @J. M. Wright's review advice and sprayed some LockTight Expanding Foam inside. I only had a little left in the bottle so I only filled the middle tube part way, where the chain rings make contact, and it did the trick. It lowered the high-pitched "TING" frequency of the sound and reduced the long-lasting duration of the ring to just a short "ding". It sounds a lot more like the park baskets now. Video attached.

Blame it on the chains.
When your kid thinks he is going to be the next Paul McBeth, or Gannon Buhr, or Kyle Klein, you should thank God that he's not dreaming of being the next Tiger Woods. After all, he will not likely become either, but the journey to disc golf mastery is a heck of a lot cheaper than stick golf mastery.Granted, he will always want more discs, and never learn how to properly throw the ones he already has. He will complain that his bag isn't big enough to hold all of his discs, even as he complains that it is too heavy and leaves it at home when he golfs. He will trade all the nice premium plastic discs he has to his cousins for cheap DX junk. However, because you are not paying greens fees, his whole life of disc golfing is going to cost less than a couple seasons of a golf course membership. So of course you are going to buy him a target basket so he can learn how to drive for show and putt for dough. You have three choices: buy a REALLY NICE one with heavy duty chains, buy a DIRT CHEAP one with a brand name like "QUALITYSHINE," or buy this one. I say you should buy this one. It's not so heavy that your kids can't drag it around the yard. It's not so cheaply made that it will rust out after a season. This sucker is light weight, with a bag for travel, and finished with quality welding and a paint job that should last you for a long time. Best of all, however, it has an ace in the hole: the chains are lightweight, inferior to most public course chains. Thus, if you ever chain out during a round out on the course, you can do what my kids do: blame it on the basket. "These stupid baskets have chains that are TOO HEAVY! That should have gone in." Makes them feel much better, and it makes you feel justified for saving the $30-50 bucks for a heavier duty setup.Of course, maybe I just like MVP because I'm a sucker for overmold discs. At any rate, I've bought a Remix branded basket and this one, and if I ever purchase a third, it will be MVP.

Great price point and just portable enough
I actually tried some other options that were more lightweight, made of other materials, so I would have some portability. Really, that was a mistake, and this model, particularly with the black hole transit bag, is the best blend of giving you a nice, sturdy practice basket that emulates what you'll find on the course, without compromising too much on portability and storage. One of the main issues I ran in to with some of the more lightweight and portable options is that they simply didn't feel like the real deal. There was always some sort of compromises, whether it was stability, spit outs, chains that are too weak to grab the disc, or even simply too easy to score in. In some cases, the lightweight models would even break because of plastic parts instead of metal.Set up and tear down are both a simple process, but unless you plan to leave this thing up permanently, I would really recommend getting the transit bag, even just for storage. It packs up nicely, with no need to squeeze things in to the bag to make it fit. Most outdoor sporting goods go in to a bag that resembles a tent bag, and you end up having to stuff things in and hope the zipper doesn't give, but this goes in perfectly every time with no fuss. The one thing I will say, is there are plenty of similarly priced products on the market, that seem to provide a similar experience. What sets this one apart to me is the whole package including the bag, for the price.

Solid
Built solid. Easy assembly/disassembly. One chain has rusted but it live outside so no real complaints

Just awesome, buy it.
Plenty sturdy and very portable. Two min to assemble. The Pro version may be heavier, but you do not need it. And the Travel bags are perfect. 6 stars. Don’t hesitate.

Awesome but so loud (fixable)
Awesome. It catches great and looks great. I should’ve bought one sooner. I had a POS Franklin basket last year that fell apart. I should have saved my money and bought one of these. I love throwing at this basket. It is loud. When you score, the chains strike a hollow and very resonant pole, announcing to the neighborhood that you, sir, are an excellent putter. It sounds like a cathedral bell. So, I bought an $8 can of expanding foam, squirted it into the pole, waited for it to cure, peeled off the overflow and now I mostly just hear those beautiful chains! I love this basket.

Absolutely awesome basket
Whilst most lite baskets are a reduced size this one is full size, comes with a great carry case and nice black finish having used other baskets this one is worth every single penny.
