Maxpedition Sitka Pack
Actually got the bigger version (Kodiak?).....item was listed as used (it was) and listed (honest mistake) as a Sitka, instead of it's bigger brother, the Kodiak. Described as having a broken buckle (the whistle buckle on the secondary strip connecting the bottom of the bag to the main shoulder strap - keeps the pack from swinging). Easy to find and replace. The stain is no big deal (also listed in description). Likley I can wash and get rid of most of it. Still, a great deal consdering the discount the vendor gave.To the pack itself. I like sling bags. Don't know why, but they have worked for me in a number of different environments. They are not for everyone, the way they carry and balance won't sit well for all, but i like it.The pack it the usual high level of quality in material, workmanship, and design I've always gotten from Maxpedtion.I do wish there was some interior MOLLE webbing inside for attaching secondary items internally. Suppose I could add them. The exterior MOLLE webbing seems helpful enough. Might put my 1st aid pack there. In addition to the internal MOLLE webbing issue, I wish there was more compartments inside. Love the big pockets as well, but some don't have a way of being buckled/zippered inside. Stuff doens't seem to move around too much, but I like everything to stay put when being opened in a hurry. Still, not a huge issue.Would be a tight fit for a true three day bag, but it could be done. I am able to keep the following well placed, secure, and easy to carry:Pistol/Magsfixed Knife, multitool, and folderFire kiteTwo metal waterbottles/waterFirst aid kit6-12 engery bars (depending)Drink mixes (coffee, tea, hot chocolate)electrolyte mixStraw type filterPencil/paper etcSmall wrench and multi-screwdriverDual band radio plus one extra battery set upemergency ponchoLeather glovesClear safety glasses (these are a WAY-UNDERATED piece of gear, they are extremely handy and useful)150 (3 x 50') feet cordageContractor gargbage bagssockslight pantst shirtlight jacket (on outside)Sometimes keep an alcohol stove and fuel, depending on locationSometimes a small, nylon tarp (8X10 ripstop)Wouldn't mind adding some light footware (flip flops might be bottom-end, viable solution) just in case I need a quick get-out-bag in the middle of the night.Would also make a good book bag, carry-on, or even computer/commuter bag.I definite win in my book

Really loving this thing so far. - Updated
I got mine as an every day carry, but also wanted something that can take a beating, as well as something I can sling for long motorcycle rides. This thing has so far exceeded all of my expectations. Yes it's pricey, but the way they use every inch of space, how they do it, the quality, the versatility, all of it comes together with this. I will be buying more from Maxpedition as long as they keep making things this good... VERY pleased...* Follow up:I used this (with the attachable front strap pocket addition) on a solo trip on my bike through Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, exposed and in the elements with it slung over my shoulder all day every day in all elements... It was brilliant... my shoulder felt just fine the whole time...not one rip, the thing was loaded down and held up perfectly...I can't imagine a more thorough test, no complaints, through mountain passes, deserts, freeways, back-roads, rain and 100+ degrees, I am now a die-hard on these things...The rope used as the zipper handles were the only things that I could see being improved... and that was minor at best...

Great Travel / Light Hiking daypack
This bag is very well built with high quality materials. The size is perfect for traveling or hiking. Its very spacious and has tons of sleeves to organize your stuff. It can get uncomfortable because you carry all the weight of the pack on just one shoulder so I would recommend not overloading the pack. It really hugs your body and doesn't move around, this is because the support strap. The khaki/foliage color combination looks very good and is not as "tactical" as the OD or other colors.I really recommend this bag to anyone that is looking for a small daypack.

Great Mid-Size Pack
I have Maxpeditions Versapack (small) and 5.11 Tactical Rush-12. This slots nicely between them. Fit is comfortable, though getting used to strap on one side took a few minutes. I haven't overloaded it, either. Just water and snacks for short hikes. I am small 5' 7" so kept needing to make strap tighter. It also has a second attachment from bottom up to main strap, allowing one to slide back around to front without removing. I found it rests more on my chest than shoulder. Also had to re-tie some of the zipper cords, as they were loose and some came undone. Feels durable, but only time will tell.
