sharp looking collar
I have an all black GSD and you can only see the bright orange dot on the end ! It is very nice and sturdy fur saver collar

Great collar
As a dog handler, I am a fan of fur saver collars. You can't beat Herm Springier for quality and craftsmanship. Other "professional sites" charge much more than this price. This is a good everyday collar for the trained dog. Use a small link choke collar if in training for correctional purposes. This collar is not designed for that snap effect in obedience training. The collar provides free movement and still works as a choke for dogs who pull on walks. I keep this on my service dog 24/7 (unless unsupervised in a crate). Great value.

Well Made Collar
I am not a dog trainer, but I feel that this is an incredibly well made collar and I can definitely tell a difference between it and the less expensive collars I've seen in the past. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because I also purchased the Herm Sprenger pinch collar and it seems to work better. The oblong links on this collar may save fur ( I would never test it because I only use these collars for training), but it doesn't seem to give as quick of a correction. I feel like it gets caught on itself and doesn't give that quick pinch/ nip sensation. Now, I will fully admit that it could be user error since this is the only fursaver model I have ever used. I do plan to use it when I show my dog, but I will use the pitch in training.

Lightweight, great for everyday use
You can never go wrong with Herm Sprenger. I have a 4mm 21” choke for my dog that is great but heavy. I wanted something more lightweight for everyday wear. The site I usually order my HS collars from didn’t offer the 21” in 3mm. Good ole Amazon came through for me! This collar is perfect and much lighter than my 4mm.

Fursaver Collar for dogs with long hair.
This collar is excellent for its purpose, which is to save fur and keep it from matting in the neck area, where my dog has a ton of hair. Regular collars allow mats to form. This collar is perfect to control that. And it is stainless steel so it won’t darken the fur around his neck. I love it!
