Runs small but feels fabulous
Typically wear a medium, but large fits great. Feels soft, yet strong. Medium weight is perfect for hard working - now in a stylish way. Love the side phone pocket.

Lovely strong midnight fabric. Not quite jean, but more than a jegging.
I got a Size S, and it's VERY true to size, perhaps a tiny bit big in the inseam. I'm a Size 8 Australian, which is a Size 4 US, or 26.5 inch waist, and 36 inch hips, usually wearing a 26-27 jeans, depending on brand. The fabric is probably great for a mild climate, say Autumn or Spring chilly days would be fine with these. Winter perhaps. I'm not sure because I don't live in a snowy climate, but these pants are definitely thicker than Summer leggings. From the front, they look more like leggings because of the lack of zipper/false fly, but from the back and side, these pass as jeans because of the pockets, and the quality.Very comfy, and very flattering with the leg detail, lowish cut waist, and perfect sized pockets!! This was a completely random purchase, as I realised I hadn't looked at Carhartt's gear for a few years. These pants will look great with tanks, fitted t shirts, flip flops, sneakers, and boots. They absolutely pass as jeans. LOVE THEM!!!!

Awesome & About Sizing
Ok so these pants are awesome. Definitely more a thick weight than a traditional thin legging. Moderate stretch in the leg areas but not so stretchy they will lose shape. The waist band does not stretch really. Which is a good thing because it will stay in good shape. I would say these are true to size and maybe run a tad small. Still, I’m usually a large in these kinda pants and I bought a large. Very flattering and can be styled to look more formal with flats or as work pants.

Nice pants, narrow waist
I ordered these pants to wear while motorcycle riding. The chart said I should be a size Medium but I ordered large because I don’t like when things are tight on me. I’m glad I did because the waist is so narrow I had a hard time getting them over my rear. But once they were on they fit fine and not too tight around my waist. They seem pretty durable and they were comfortable to wear while riding.

These fit men very well
As a 6'/175lb athletic guy, it's very hard finding mens pants and work clothes that don't look awful on me. These in a medium fit perfectly and look amazing front and back. No baggy front or rear, and no unsightly bulges - just nice and flat in the front and nice shape in the back. They stay in place and don't fall down during activities, and stretch in all directions, from work to athletics. I'd highly recommend more men check out these and other women's pants carhart sells - they just fit and look better and I've never even had a gf suspect they were sold as women's pants.

When you want tough pants that still look great
As the only female in a house of rough-and-tumble boys, these pants are fantastic. I take them hiking, off-roading, camping, and to soccer games. Rain basically rolls off of them, they have reinforced knees and snag resistant fabric. But still stretchy and comfy! The waistband doesn’t stretch a ton, so if you’re in doubt, probably choose the size bigger. And they come in LONG!

Great thick leggings
I love that these leggings are thick for winter and that they have multiple pockets. I usually wear a small or medium but decided to order the small. I’m glad I did. The waistband is tight and doesn’t give much so they are a bit hard to get on, but once they are on they are super comfortable and don’t sag down in the crotch area. I purchased both a black and a grey pair.

Mismatched pocket most noticeable in Black
I HATE the mismatched patch pockets! I know the idea to make the patch pockets out of a different colored material were a design choice... but it's a BAD one IMO.They might be cute on a skinny-mini, but on larger full-sized adults, the darker patch pockets draw the eye to my wider backside and hips... which I don't need in skintight leggings. Thankfully the odd patch pockets are not as noticeable in the other colors.I purchased the Black, Navy, and Coffee Brown. On the Black... the slightly darker patch pockets are most noticeable and just look weird... subtle enough in broad daylight to look like a mistake.According to the listing images, the Coffee Brown & Navy also used darker fabric for the patch pockets, but in real life it's either not the case or they are less noticeable.I wanted Black. And the truth is I don't really like either of the alternate colors and debating which to keep, if either. The Coffee Brown is not quite olive drab, and not quite dark brown. In between the two is an unflattering color. If it were more olive or darker it would be better. The Navy Blue is a little too vibrant and not dark enough. Would be better if it was more Marine Blue (greener tone) or darker Navy Blue (closer to black). It's frustrating because colors-aside, these are great pants! I'm 5'11 and wear 12/14... more 14 right now. The XL Tall are perfect. The legs are long enough for my 32" inseam. The rise is tall enough to not slide down when I bend over or sit. The front pockets are deep enough to actually put hands in. I can carry a pair of gloves in the back. My phone fits in the side tool pocket on the side. They're thick and sturdy enough for between-season yard work, winter hiking, and horseback riding.Dear Carhartt—please make a black pair using the same material for the legs and pockets.
