Q: Can I use model 1045 for catching muskrats?

We do not have testing data available for using this trap to catch muskrats. It is recommended for armadillos, cats, groundhogs, nutria, opossums, raccoons, and other similarly sized animals.

Q: I'm wanting to trap several squirrels and would prefer a larger trap like this. Can this trap contain squirrels?

I was not able to catch any squirrel with this one. they are too light. you need a smaller size. especially if you set both doors, it requires the weight of a larger animal, unless you do some significant modifications to make it more sensitive. I tried adding weight to the plate, changing the angle of the hook, still not sensitive enough. caught large rabbits though
