You guys are going to LOVE me for this!!!
Honestly, y'all are probably going to throw me a parade. This is a parade worthy tip! I was doing french door panes, my first one was ...challenging, lets put it that way. The reason it was so difficult is that you basically had one shot to get it straight and the BUBBLES! I did it so carefully but still there were bubbles. By chance the cable guy was over installing our service. This particular cable guy, as it turns out, used to work installing commercial window tints. Seeing my struggle, he took pity on me and gave me the secret. Listen carefully this is life changing for anyone attempting to use this and similar products: You will need this film (which is actually quite nice quality, an exacto and tape measure, AND a bowl of soapy water (preferably dawn but most will work, dont make it TOO soapy though) , a clean sponge and something with a semi soft straight edge (I used gift cards, a silicone spatula and the edge of a book to give you some examples of what can be used. You dont need to buy a special tool unless you want to)1.) Measure and cut to fit (I cut a few cm over, its up to you) the film 2.) Clean the area where you intend to put it, very well3.) Take your sponge and get it really wet with the soapy water, and use it to wet down the area, getting it good and wet4.) Carefully unpeel the film, taking care to keep it from sticking to itself.5.) Stick it to your wet glass. The soapy water will allow you to move it around a bit and get it positioned perfectly.6.) Once you have it where you want it, take whatever you are going to use, say a card, and starting at the middle drag it to the edges, squeezing out the water and air bubbles. This method makes it super easy to do that. After you have squeezed out the water, soap and air, and it looks clear-ish then leave it alone. Let it dry and it will be perfectly clear and perfectly adhered like a whole professional team installed it.WORKS FREAKING GREAT!!You are welcome

Nice quality - SO DIFFICULT to install...
This film is a great quality/thickness for this price - and when you can get it on well, it looks great... almost disappears. However, the process and time it takes to put it on glass without bubbles, dust, etc. is near impossible - not something I want to do again.I got this to put on the inside of some glass doors for a cabinet that stores my designer bags, to protect them from UV rays/fading. It took almost 4 hours to do 6 small doors - and even then I’d give the best of them a B+... most of them are more of a “C.” I spent a LONG time trying to clean the glass before applying, a LONG time cutting the film, and a LONG time spraying, laying, and sticking on the film… only to get a “decent” result, which is frustrating. I used clean microfiber and compressed air and STILL couldn’t get all of the dust off the glass… Overall, great quality and fine if the windows you’re doing are not ones you see close-up daily, but if you’re a perfectionist… good luck!
