I was not happy with this purchase.I found them to be flimsy and twist when you try to open them. They do hold hair in place if you can get them to behave.Time consuming.

I gave these 1 star for the lovely color and case. However, the bobby pins are almost unusable. As previous customers have noted, they are flimsy and twist as you try to open them. It takes multiple tries to get one open without it twisting into an unusable mess.I emphatically do not recommend these, unless you know somebody who you want to frustrate. That's what they are best at, not holding hair in place. The manufacturer should be ashamed of their quality.

I love these bobby pins. They are slightly shorter than the ones I ordered before, but the end where they open is completely different and really helps keep the bobby pin in place! Y'all know you put the rippled side down, not up, right? Well end is bend out different tgan most bobby pins and grips the hair. In the last picture there are 2 different bobby pins. The one on the left is the gold-blonde. On the tight is the silver. Rhe silver hold so much better! Love them!

These are longer than standard bobby pins and while the color match was perfect some have bent sideways when trying to put in and when using to hold down headbands I find them slipping a lot. Still happy with my purchase just something to keep in mind if you have thick hair or are using to pin down headbands

The edges are not smooth, the bulbs on the ends are not consistent and sometimes the metal is popping through. When trying to slide them in, my hair gets all frayed and messed up. I really wish I had bought more expensive ones.NOTE: I didn't quite expect the quality of what they were when I was young, I haven't used them in over 30 years. But I did expect them to actually WORK for what they were intended.
