I have been using my trail bike for commuting and wanted a more upright riding position in order to more easily see what was going on around me. I figured moving my hands both back and up around ~ 2" (50mm) would do the trick. I set out trying to find a set of handlebars that would provide the rise and sweep I was looking for. Trouble is, not all handlebar sellers provide specific dimensions for the bars they sell. That and the cost of a decent set of bars got me thinking about replacing the stem instead. I went from a 120mm long stem with 8 degrees rise (dimensions were marked on the old stem!) to this Wake stem which is 90mm long with a 45 degree rise. Using the same flat handlebar that was already on the bike my hands are now about 2 1/2" (~65mm) further back and about 2" (~50cm) higher than before. Perfect for what I wanted and actually a better posture for trails as well.This product is well made and well finished, with thicker tube walls and a taller steering tube collar than the stem it replaced. Beefier, and only marginally heavier.Compared to swapping out bars, swapping out a stem is:1) Faster and easier to remove and replace; no need to strip the brake levers and shifters off the bar.2) Cheaper; $15 as compared to $30-50 for low end bars.3) Easier to determine how the new product will change your ergonomics.

The four screws at the handle end are short, should be little longer.

I purchased the 45 degree, 90mm to replace the factory 10 degree, 90 mm riser on my E-bike. It was very easy to replace, and I have been on several rides with zero problems. I gained a little over an inch in handlebar height, while bringing them about a half inch closer to me. And that really helped to stop my hands from going numb while riding for long periods. The base of the riser that connects to the fork tube is much taller than the factory riser base, so removing spacers from underneath it is required to get a perfect fit.

Great product, size is perfect , well made , right height for for my handle bars which makes it very comfortable for biking .
