Great stable board with many modern features...but then again, I'm not (yet) overclocking the CPU or memory.
PC BUILD March 2017.Integrated with following components: MSI Pro Series Intel Z270 DDR4 HDMI USB 3 SLI ATX Motherboard (Z270 SLI PLUS); Noctua CPU Cooler [NH-U12S]; Cooler Master HAF XB EVO, HTPC Computer Case with High Airflow Design, USB 3.0 and 240mm Radiator Support (RC-902XB-KKN2), plus 2nd Noctua Fan on CPU Cooler; Intel Core i5-7600K LGA 1151 Desktop Processors (BX80677I57600K); Thermaltake Smart 700W 80+ White Continuous Power ATX 12V V2.3/EPS 12V Active PFC Power Supply PS-SPD-0700NPCWUS-W; Corsair LPX 32GB DRAM 3000MHz C15 Memory Kit for DDR4 Systems; MyDigitalSSD BPX 80mm (2280) M.2 PCI Express 3.0 x4 (PCIe Gen3 x4) NVMe MLC SSD (240GB); 2 SSD's, and CD/DVD/Bluray player. After performing a thorough pre-check (cables/cabling, connections, screws, etc.), first power-up went smoothly (which BTW it powered-up first thing w/o any issues). Firmware updates also completed w/no issues. BIOS setup was easy...no surprises, but this was first time with a Z270 MB and with MSI (in 3-5 years). Overall very happy with stability of this board.Feb2018 - firmware updates performed using latest from MSI website. Only issue is the RamDisk - this app works well, but it's become useless in that I wanted the Win10Pro to use the Ramdisk for the OS-cache...so it's a Windows issue not an MSI Ramdisk issue. If I can afford more memory (at >$300 per 32GB it's not cheap), maybe I'll use the Ramdisk app again to create a 30GB Ramdisk for certain applications that could benefit from it, but no real need now.Overall, very happy with this board, stability, reliability. MSI apps could use a little better overall programming for saving user settings (it doesn't always save them), but no real complaints. Then again, I don't overclock my CPU's or memory at this time, but it was a serious consideration when purchasing this MB.

outstanding
this is my 5th msi build with gskill memory, my 1st was a top of the line msi gameing board when the i5 an windows 7 first hit the market, about 5 months ago I had a problem with my main computer, did not have the money to build a intel so went with msi 970 gameing board an amd 6300 6 core 3.6, overclocked to 4.1 with 16gigs 2133, an a Samsung 850 evo, my first generation i5 2.66 oved to 3.1 would kick its but, so I purchased the z270 msi pro sli, a I 5 3.8 kabey an coolermaster 212 an 16gigs gskill ddr 4 3000, installed today, turned on overclock geni in bios, booted first time memory at 3000 cpu at 4.5. I had forgotten what fast was, it tripled the read an write speed of my 850 evo, the amd said it had compadibillty issues with the 850, from the time I press the power button on the computer to full boot idel is 50 seconds with 16 items in startup, I am impressed thanks msi an intel for another outstanding product, all I need now is a set of gtx 9 or 1070 video cards, oh in game temp 106f

Okayyyy lol 😂 so I said screw it reset them and sold them got two 320gb ssds and plugged them into the 6!!!!!! Awesome budget board, great BIOS features
Awesome board, fully customizable and quick. Had no problem overclocking memory to 3200mHz by simply using the onboard tools. Nice touches on the memory slots and the PCIE slot for the video card, both are metal-backed. My video card can also be easily overcklocked, although I don't see the need at this time. Running dual OS, both Win 7 and Win 10 on an i7 6700t chip and loving every bit of the native Win 7 support. This board makes sense to those who aren't automatically looking to spend 2k building a computer. Mine runs well and came under 700 with PSU. I like the color combination, or I should say the non-color combo of black and white accents, I think it rocks. I recommend the Phanteks low-profile heatsink to complete the look of this one, and I'd also recommend the white Corsair LPX RAM sticks, again, to accord with the rest of the board and give it that coordinated look. Enjoy this board, I know I will!
