Sheehy's Emergency Nursing: Principles and Practice, 6th Edition

Arrived in great condition

I am an RN in a large academic trauma center. This was a great book for reviewing material and studying for the CEN. I found it very helpful for a variety of subjects and found it to be interesting and easy to read. I would recommend this book to anyone that is studying for the CEN!

I found this book to be too wordy, not concise and to the point. Also, it would be nice if there would be some consensus of urgent vital signs. The suggestion that a 100.4 F temp is a high temp in an infant is simply not true. Thompson and Schmidt suggest it to be a low grade temp, and above 105 F as a High Temperature. Many kids do well with a 102 temp, fluids, good nutrition and rest

I ordered a couple of different books to study for my CEN. I think this book was the best, it covers what I needed to review, and there are practice tests in the book.

Book is simple, easy to read. I prefer reading paragraphs than bullets. This was very informative and a way to refresh some ER nursing knowledge. Passed CEN first time

Provides a quick summary of most emergency situations nurses might encounter in the ED as well as in other practice, in addition to great and easy to understand explanations and nursing rational.

This is a good book as it is easy to understand and gives a good overview of ER Nursing. The seller Rama books is excellent as they ship quickly and efficiently and have great prices!

Very informative reference. In fact, our hospital will be using it in our Emergency Nurse Residency Program!
