Flents Eye Glasses Repair Kit and Magnifier

Flent brand lasts longer than Walgreens
I've been using the pads from Walgreens for years, but they're no longer restocking them. The quality they carried had gone down anyway and would last only a few days without disintegrating. This Flent brand lasts twice as long, so I feel they're worth paying a little more. I still have to custom cut them to fit (and not show), but I'm used to it now. I really wish I didn't have to use them at all - darn my thin skinned nose and heavy glasses!

If your almost blind and have heavy glasses, they are wonderful when they stay on.
They don't stay on very long. Lasting me about 2 1/2 weeks. But when your glasses weigh a ton and start digging into your nose, they are wonderful. For the pain they are saving me, love 'em. K, had to knock a star off. I have used all but one pair. About half of them stay on really well, the other half ***ARGH*** I put them on the same way, wash my glasses, dry them, clean the nose piece with alcohol, dry it, then put the nose piece on. Half of them come off and stick to my nose the minute I put my glasses on and will not stay put. I still love them when they stay on, but the aggravation of the ones that don't stay...

glad these are still available
Every corner drugstore used to carry adhesive foam nose pads for glasses. But then silicone nose pieces were invented. Nobody retails the largely obsolete foam pads any more. Fortunately they're still available ...this way.One has only two choices: 1] completely replace the silicone nose pieces (yearly?), or ii] change out the silicone nose pieces for old fashioned non-silicone ones so foam pads like this can stick. Each set of these now comes unbranded and with no other writing stuck on a small sheet of easy-release material inside a small clear plastic bag. (Possibly some earlier orders were filled with the remnants of the old retail stock, which still had the pre-silicone directions printed on them, even though those directions don't make any sense these days.)

A necessity for heavy glasses
I've been using Flents nose pads for about 20 years, because I haven't been able to replace my large-lensed, heavy glasses. Without the Flents, my glasses slide way down and give me a headache. Sure, they look a little nerdy, even blending in fairly well with my plastic frames. Who cares? It's worth it for no headaches! As for having problems with them sticking, there's an easy solution, as long as your frames aren't too narrow for the pads. Before applying, clean the nose section of your frames with alcohol, or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, to remove any trace of skin oil. (Also after you've removed an old pair of pads, to remove any sticky residue. That can screw up the adhesion too.) Once the nose section is squeaky clean, apply the pads, making sure you don't touch the sticky side. Then press firmly over the entire pad surface to make sure they adhere tightly. Doing this, mine usually last for at least a month before losing their grip; sometimes longer. They only start sliding off about the time I'm going to replace them anyway because they've gotten dirty, or because it's summer, and they've absorbed a lot of sweat. Until I get new glasses, I don't ever want to be without these pads.Note: Suppliers of these change a lot. My purchase was from Amazon partner Preferred Mart. Excellent vendor; they even emailed to request feedback and to check if I was happy with the product.

Nice cushions
I bought these cushions, because the nose guards on my glasses were digging into my nose, causing pain. So far, these cushions have solved that issues. My glasses are much more comfortable now. My only issue with them is that now my glasses seem to sit just a little too high. It bothered me a lot a first, but I'm getting a little more used to it now.

so something like these nose pads are on ongoing repeat purchase item
I have had to use these when I couldn't get the GMS Optical nose pads. These Flent pads start to curl and/or slide around after only a few days, which makes it very frustrating to have to replace them so often. Without nose pads, my nose gets very sore and red, so something like these nose pads are on ongoing repeat purchase item. They'll do in a pinch, but I much prefer the GMS Optical nose pads - they adhere for well over a week and don't slide around.

Doubtful if manufactured by Flents
No idea if these nose pads are made by Flents or some generic manufacturer. There's nothing on them that says Flents. They come in plain plastic wrappers. They're thinner, smaller and don't last half as long as Flents. Classic bait and switch. Not recommended.

Worthless
These pads are not worth buying -- they disintegrate quickly, don't adhere well, fall apart if they get wet, and are, in a word, junk. Buy another brand.

Good but Expensive
At £6.99 for five pairs these little bits of foam are very expensive and they don't last all that long. I have had no trouble with them falling off but I wear my glasses all the time so a pack of five pairs has lasted me only two months. I have three pairs of glasses and the pair I wear all the time is on its third pair of pads so each pair has lasted me around three weeks. The foam spreads over the weeks and comes away from the sticky back.Don't let them get too wet by washing glasses under the tap. That ruins them. That being said I can't do without these little things. They hold glasses to the face well, they make glasses softer on the nose, and I think I am allergic to the little silicon things they put on glasses as I get not just red patches but bleeding sores and with these foam protectors I don't get that.If I ever see them on offer I will snap up several packets. I can't believe we don't have something similar in the UK and have to get these from USA, hence why so expensive.

Good enough.
These are ok, fit for purpose but I do end up changing them every 5-6 weeks as they do absorbe facial oil which stops my glasses slipping which is why I purchased them. They need cutting down a lot to get them to fit on the silicone nose holds on my glasses and this is fidderly to do. They start to slip when the oil builds up and this is when they need to be replaced. They are quite noticeable due to the colour but this is the lesser of two evils if it means my glasses don't slip down.

No more sore red marks
Was fed up with sore red marks on nose from glasses. Brought these and what an improvement. No more red marks. Had first pair of pads on for a week now and still secure. Obviously with make up and sweat they will come off as not permanent but worth the money in my opinion. I usually give the pads a gentle wipe over when I clean my glasses. Would recommend and will buy more when I need to.

Not again...
With this really high price for these 10 small pieces, I expect it to be of good quality, however it doesn’t stick at all. I guess their margin on this product is near 1000% lol
