For someone that comes from such a humble beginning, the thing that shines in Karen’s journey is her inner strength.You can tell that it’s written by a model, not because the writing is dumb, far from it, but because it’s trying to balance out the story in words and story in pictures.Without knowing the narrative of the book, I thought it looked incoherent, but once you understand the narrative, it makes perfect sense, such as the chapter of body shaming within her journey and she selects images that have made her feel empowered.On first read, the early part of her journey was very raw, open and honest, but once it gets into her career, she is as honest as she can be understanding that the fashion industry is a very spiteful industry.I hope that when Karen decides to retire from modelling she can give a warts and all of what she has encountered without the fear of reprisal. Because she really is a fascinating human being, not just as a model, but as individual that has stuck true to her northern roots.

Es un libro muy bonito, me ha gustado el tamaño porque no es tan grande y pesado como otros libros de fotografía. Lo recomiendo 100% tanto para amantes de la moda, la fotografía y fans de la top Model Karen Elson.

Ich liebe vor allem ihre Musik, aber The Red Flame lohnt sich schon vom Ästhetischen her, immer ein bisschen freaky. Dazu Elson's Offenheit: ein Juwel!
