Klipsch R-80SWi 8-inch 150W Wireless Subwoofer with High Performance Driver for Deep Bass Black

Wow, what big bass from such a small subwoofer! I have been a Klipsch fan for several years now. I have Klipsch in my home theater and in my den where we watch TV. So, when I decided to replace an old pair of Bose speakers on my computer set up I naturally thought about Klipsch. After a few hours of research I decided to go with a pair of Klipsch R-51PMs (powered monitors) because of the incredible connection options. You can literally connect anything to these speakers. In fact, because of the phono input on the speakers I moved my Sony turntable to the office and have rediscover the joy of listening to my vinyl collection! Even though these are amazing speakers, I was looking for just a bit more bass punch. Not to say these speakers lack bass. . . they don't, I just personally like the punch of the lower frequencies. So, I set out to find a smallish subwoofer and discovered this little jewel from Klipsch. It has a small footprint, is wireless and seemed to be just what I was looking for. What a surprise when I plugged everything in and spun an album. Wow, this 8" subwoofer produces really nice tight, punchy bass, especially in my small office. A nice feature of pairing this sub with the R-51PMs is that the speakers come with a remote that allows you to control the volume on the subwoofer. I slipped it out of the way under may desk and very pleased with the overall Klipsch set up. I 100% recommend both the R-51PMs and the R-80SWi!

I wanted a wireless subwoofer for my TV room so I gave this a try. Super simple. I plugged in the little wireless unit to the subwoofer port on my receiver and placed the subwoofer under an end table on the other side of the room (approx. 15 feet away). It paired immediately. Excellent sound quality. I've been using it for 10 days and it's never lost connection. Absolutely perfect.

This little subwoofer puts out plenty of bass. It's paired with Klipsch R41PM speakers. I don't listen to loud volumes anymore and just wanted to add some bass to supplement the sound at lower/medium volumes. This does it! I suspect that like all Klipsch speakers, if I crank it up, it will respond accordingly! I also have the 10 inch Klipsch subwoofer at another location paired with R51PM speakers . Love it! Just don't have room for it here. This smaller size fits perfectly where I wanted it..

This subwoofer has a nice modern look that happens to match my furniture which is why I selected it, along with the reputation for quality with this brand. The speaker sounds equally good playing sound from movies or for music. The Bluetooth transmitter and receiver make it quite convenient by allowing the speaker to be placed away from the receiver head unit without running a subwoofer cable. However, the Bluetooth seems to unpair once a week or so. Not much effort to repair, by just pressing the button, but annoying enough to lose 1 star.

It's basic physics. Unless you have a big subwoofer, you won't experience the deep 20-80Hz frequencies in music. A subwoofer has the ability to make a significant improvement in your music quality - whether you listen to classical music, rock, jazz, pop, rap, or movies.What makes this subwoofer unique (aside from the reasonable price) is the ease of setting it up anywhere. Just plug the transmitter to your stereo system and plug the subwoofer to power and turn it on. It paired in a few seconds and my stereo was upgraded instantly.I was able to place the subwoofer in different locations near an AC outlet, finding the ideal place where my wife won't hate it being there as a big black box but still providing wonderful complement to my speakers.A must-do improvement for any audiophile out there.

This subwoofer is great…paired with bookshelf speakers in my bedroom…handles all sorts of music/media. Wireless option works great as well.
