I agree with a previous reviewer that this is almost the perfect lighter and superb value for the price. I have been using it now for several weeks and no sign of fall off in performance as has happened with other, much more expensive, gas lighters.Update - I spoke too soon. After 3 months the ingition button only worked intermintently and then packed up altogether. Will not buy another the same.

Great Product. Turns an unused lighter into a used one. Buy it you wont be sorry. (If just getting the middle). If getting the complete thing fantastic I got both and it is just like the real deal. a Zippo for a fraction of the cost.... and Gas!!!

Firstly, if you are looking for a reliable wind proof lighter this is very much your purchase. I have waited after buying this lighter for about a month to give a review.From the box you recieve it in, it lights first time every time (realy, every single click results in ignition). after a few weeks of ciggy lights you will need to refill, this is where it needs to be purged (get rid of all the gas within the lighter) if you don't you may experience a few problems.problems i faced were my own, i did not push hard enough on the cannister of colbri to efectivly fill the lighter, once i did it was same as when i first purchased it, one click ignition.It holds it's flame even in very windy weather (im in the uk so no stranger to wind :). One thing to note is that in bright daytime conditions you will struggle to see the flame, you may even think (like me) that it has not ignited, but, it has, if you look closely you will see a massive heat haze from the flame (1300 degree C)All in all i'm massively impressed with this lighter, gone are the days i click and click only to get a flame that's blown out by the wind. I am no fan boy either, if a product is sub par i will tell you it is, this however is worth every penny in my book (very rare I will say that).EDIT *As of Jan 2014 some 3 'n' a bit years later this lighter is still one clicking a ciggy; open, click, light, regardless of the weather. I do agree with the comment that the quality of casing and opening mechanism on a zippo is superior (owned one for many years) but the jet flame on this thing is much much easier to get a light off and you don't stink of petrol or have to chase the flame in wind. If I could use this insert in a zippo case it would be perfection but sadly the dimensions are too far off to work correctly*

Much better value than the Zippo Blu range, because of the tight powerful flame this lighter is perfect for those who like to play with paracord/crafts and need to burn rope/cord to "finish the ends".Great outdoors lighter. Although it rarely flames on the first attempt the lighter will fire in high wind and rain, making it great to throw in a backpack for hiking/camping/fishing etc...Of course its fine for those who just like to light up a cigarette too...Just be aware it will need refilling often so buy with the NEwport Butane refill canister (on amazon for about 3quid) - the nozzle fixes perfectly for refilling.

Ordered two of these, one for myself & the other for a friend. Mine worked perfect & still does where as one for my friend jams too often & wont light most of the time. Only thing I dont like about these is you cant see the level of fuel. Its bit expensive for this style of lighter but when you get one that works your onto a winner. The flame is adjustable & the lighter is easy to handle & direct, good in any weather Britain has to throw at you

I love the lighter and smoke rollups so need a reliable one and it is that. However, it's almost run out of gas and I have tried refilling with a regular can of Ronson and just can't get gas into it which I am finding very frustrating indeed !! I'll need to keep persevering or it will be rendered useless and I only purchased this week !!

An attractive polished chrome Zippo style lighter but with a windproof butane flame is almost the perfect lighter. It works well and the gas lasts well. It is maybe a little bit clunky but for the price is an excellent purchase.
