Best Evening Primrose Oil on the market
I have taken evening primrose oil for many years as it was recommended for premenstrual syndrome. I can say that it worked for me for over the years. Now older and going through the menopause, I have reintroduced evening primrose into my regime.Evening primrose oil extracted from evening primrose seeds which is a plant native to North America. The oil contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and other omega-6 fatty acids which have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Evening primrose oil supplements are promoted for atopic dermatitis (a type of eczema), rheumatoid arthritis, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), breast pain, menopause symptoms, and other conditions. Evening primrose oil may also be included in products that are applied to the skin.Since taking it, I find that I sleep better and it definitely makes my skin look better. One capsule of these evening primrose capsules contains 1300mg of evening primrose oil, of which gamma-linolenic acid equals 130mg, linoleic acid equals 884mg, and the total omega 6 content is 1014mg. These capsules are high strength, higher than any other evening primrose capsule I have tried before and are great quality.I have used other supplements from this company and find everything to be of excellent quality. There are 180 soft gel capsules so this tub will last around six months. These are expensive, but I feel six months will be enough time to see if these will be of benefit to someone. The capsules are easy to take with water and there is no aftertaste. It is worth noting that evening primrose oil can thin the blood and can interfere with certain medicines such as Anticoagulants and anti-platelet drugs, herbs and supplements. These types of drugs, herbs and supplements reduce blood clotting. Combining oral use of evening primrose oil with them might increase the risk of bleeding.I am delighted with the quality of these evening primrose oil, I don’t think there is anything else on the market that comes close to these.

What is the right dosage?
It’s too early to say how effective these are, but I can tell you what I know so far. Like many women as they get older, my skin is not as good as it once was, and it needs a boost. I also have some joint pain, which has appeared from no where, and I'm not impressed with. I have friends who have seen pretty good results with Evening Primrose Oil, so I decided to give these a go. You get 180 soft-gel tablets and they really are quite large, so if you struggle to take tablets, these may not be the right ones for you. For me, they weren’t too bad to swallow, and they have no smell, taste or nasty aftertaste to them. There is conflicting information between the advertising information and the information on the bottle itself; the online advertising information suggests two tablets a day, and the bottle suggests just the one. It would be beneficial to know which is the correct information, and it has made me lose a bit of confidence with the product, as if they can't even get such a basic thing as the dosage right, what else is wrong? At the time of writing this review, the cost is an eye-watering £68.99, which is just over 38p per soft-gel. Even though you get 180 soft-gels, this is a lot of money to pay out in one go.

Good quality Evening Primrose Oil
As we enter our more senior years my wife and I both notice that our skin isn't as good as it used to be, so when we saw this Evening primrose oil supplement we decided to give it a try, as one of its benefits is in skin conditions, being especially good for acne or eczema. It also has other benefits, especially for women where it can help with PMS and menopause symptoms. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, which is always useful. This is quite a big tub of 180 capsules which will last us for 3 months, at 1 each per day. Unfortunately t si unlikely that we will continue with these once this tub has been used because the price of £68.99 at the time of writing is just more than we can justify for a mainly cosmetic supplement.
