Levi'sWomen's 501 Original Jeans

Well, not completely. My first pair of 501s, now 40 years old and still going strong, were indeed the classic. At that time there were just those available, unwashed blue, button fly, for men - as wide at the waist as at the hips. Therefore, waist huge, have to wear them with a belt.Then came the women's design. This one copies those first ones. So I have gone from a 30/30 on the men's jeans to a 28/30. And they fit just right, not too loose, not too tight.If one prefers looking like a sausage on very tight jeans, these are not for you, unless you go one or two sizes down. There is another 501, slim, which may suit best.If you prefer them looser, then a 501 90s would do. I actually have a 27/30 on those.But to the point. These feel great. Just right. Proper thickness on the material. Button fly, which are really difficult to find on women's jeans.Actually, the only flaw would be the shallowness of the front pockets. After all everybody knows we, women, are born with an accessory handbag we cart with us throughout our lives, and so we do not need pockets.Nevertheless, who knew at my age I would still enjoy a nicely made pair of jeans.

Having worn other brands of jeans for a few years, I decided to return to Levi’s. The quality remains exceptional- they are beautifully made and comfortable. I haven’t found any flaws as discovered by other reviewers. The ‘deep breath’ shade is a classic deep blue shade. I found the Levi’s sizing guide really helpful and accurate- I usually take a British size 8 with an inside leg measurement of 30 inches. I went for W 26, L 30 and this is perfect for me. The waist is a little higher than I have had before but I guess this is a reflection of current trends! I put them on a quick wash when I received them, otherwise haven’t washed yet but I expect them to wash well based on past experience. I would highly recommend these jeans.

Couldn’t get these jeans to do up. Sizing is completely off! A shame as the denim is great.

Bought the Levi's 501 jeans in colour "coming down". Love the colour. Very good price. They are well-made and high quality.True to size. The length 32 was just right. For reference, I'm 5'8".They are 100% cotton and therefore very stiff. The high rise didn't suit me well.The jeans felt uncomfortable in the stomach area. Squeezing and digging into it. Also made me look bigger in the stomach than I actually am. Just didn't feel or look right on me, unfortunately.Also I disliked having metal buttons instead of a zip.They are great quality jeans, though. If you prefer high-rise thick cotton jeans with buttons for zip, you will love them.Hope it helps.

Frist Levi's bought in over 20 years and wasn't disappointed. Quality denim that I expect to last for years. Sizing is on the large side, so be aware. I had to exchange order for 2 sizes down but was worth the hassle. Highly recommend!

The jeans I received were a light blue, not the darker blue shown in the picture. I had been looking for a pair of darker blue jeans like the ones in the picture for a while so I was disappointed when these showed up. It’s also a button fly, which I don’t love. Lastly, the size chart is misleading and I ended up with a size slightly too small. Otherwise the fit is nice and the quality is good.
