So simple to use,i popped it into my 6.5 litre slow cooker,put my whole seasoned chicken on it,put the handles on top of the chicken so i could get a good seal on the lid,and away we went,chicken came out in one piece for a change,it was easy to clean,just held it under the hot water tap,then gave it a quick wipe over with a wet soapy sponge,there was no taste of it on the chicken which some one else had said happened to them,in my opinion it would be to big for any other slow cooker that is smaller than a 6.5,and once cooking time is up you need to take the lid of and leave for a minute or two before grabbing the handles as they are a little bit warm,bought one as a gift for my neighbour at the same time as i bought mine and she thinks it’s the bee’s knee’s to.Well worth the money.

I use my slow cooker to cook roast chicken. This is almost perfect as slow cooked roast chicken falls apart, so this allows me to remove it from the slow cooker easily. It is a little too late for my 3.5L digital crock pot, but it folds over without any great difficulty.

This does work well and with no odour that I have detected. However, my one big grump is that it is too big to fit in most of my roasting tins and my Morphy Richards slow cooker.

To lift a whole chicken out of a slow cooker using this item then you would have to have the weight balanced perfectly because mine slid off so it was no use to me at all.

I didn’t like picking my meat and putting it on the carrier. But good to carry and drain the meat juices.

This item did exactly what I expected used in my PKP and in my Oven no problems and no burning myself.
