15.1" Hatchet, Camping Axe with 1065 Carbon Steel and Beech Handle, Hand Forged Bushcraft Axe with Leather Sheath for Camping and Survival

I ordered another one for a friend the same day I received mine because I love the hefty head weight and strong feel of the handle, nice hatchet! I use the mallet method of whacking the hatchet head to split firewood kindling on campouts, and for driving stakes/spikes, and lighter hatchets don't do well and the handle eye tends to open and loosen. This hatchet will do great. The sheath is a very tight fit at first, I had to use a rubber mallet to seat it and let it stretch to shape.

They really took great pride in their craftsmanship of this beautiful axe. It's not only beautiful but works great for splitting wood and camping! This is our go to axe. We loved it so much we just ordered another one. The balance and weight are perfect! Keep up the amazing work, thank u!

The look and feel of the head and handle is nice. Weight is good and the handle is long enough the change swing power. Real nice for Chinese production quality but of course the head was a little loose (pulled a star for that). I tightened it up by taking a rounded hammer to the circular shim at the top of the wood handle. It worked to take away the slack and hopefully it stays as such. Hit some lumber a few times and it didn’t loosen. Edge is polished; it’s not chefs kiss sharp but not ugly dull. Overall it’s a nice little chopper. I’d buy another.The fire starter wasn’t necessary but I can always use more. After the coating is removed it’ll spark with every strike.

I bought the small hatchet for my wife. It’s a good quality wasn’t really sharp out of the box. It has a nice leather sheath. The sharpening puck works extremely well. Put a nice edge on it. My wife loves it for camping.

Holds edge well, came with spare wedges sheath fit very nice and snug as it should when new! Blade is not Chinsy and small has some weight, go with the 11inch. Has a nice handle, should last a lifetime with care. Not for throwing so I don't really understand why it is marketed as such.

First for 1065 alloy I am glad they HT this axe to 55-60 because 1065 is low carbon better then 1055 cold steel. SO that means the carbides or grains of carbon are packed tighter together that means the edge will hold up. I used a steel rebound ball and got 57rc. But you know what the best thing is about this axe??? THERE ARE NO WHITE SPOTS ON THE EDGE. THAT MEANS THEY DID NOT BURN THE METAL GRINDING IT. fLICKS ETCH WILL SHOW THAT TO YOU. GREAT AXE GREAT PRICE COULD NOT PUT A HANDLE ON IT OR FORGE IT FOR THIS PRICE. PRAY IT WASEN'T MADE WITH LITTLE FINGERS!

This is the second I have bought. My 30 year old son fell in love with the first one so I gave it to him. We use them hunting, hiking, ATV'ing, and just keep it in the car in case of Zombies attacking. They fit in our hands perfect, are well balanced, and heavy enough to make quick work chopping wood for kindling or firewood. Very high quality product for the money.
