It works fine on the small parasol I needed it for, however you would need a heavier unit for a large parasol

Disappointed!
This product broke after just over a month. The tube came off the base as it is only attached with a tiny amount of solder in a couple of places. Clearly not weather-proof or built to last! Seller not willing to refund!

Poor quality finish
The quality finish on the base was really poor looks , all scuffed it doesn't look new at all. The 12kg was also not enough weight to hold a 2.7m umbrella therefore for these 2 reasons it needs to be returned,

A few scuff and scratch marks on the top of the base, but otherwise an OK product.
