This was so much easier to use in comparison to more traditional hair dyes. As a mom, I really appreciate that level of efficiency. It didn't get rid of all my grey hair strands - I don't have very many so not a big deal. I can look past that for the sheer convenience of this shampoo dye.

The media could not be loaded.  I have been using off-the-shelf L'oreal Paris product. One thing I did not like was its strong ammonia smell and sting sensation on my scalp when applied. When I saw this natural hair dye product, I want to give it a try.Package is in all Chinese. Fortunately, I can read the language. It does include an English instruction sheet inside the box, and the English instruction is fairly accurate and well written. Package includes a disposable hair cap, 2 gloves, 2 ear covers and a 500ml bottle solution that has two compartments for color dye and shampoo/conditioner. Not need to manually mix solutions in a cup like L'oreal Paris product. Just pump and mix the solution with hands before applying.I warmed up the solution bottle in a hot water bucket for ~10 min before using the product. I did two small pumps at time and apply much as needed. Just don't over do it. I rubbed the solution to the roots of my hair until all my hairs are covered. I then used the hair cover and wait for ~25 min, since it was ~70 degree in my house. Instructions says 10-15 min at 80+ degrees and add another 10-15 minutes in a cooler room. I then washed off the product. Coverage was quite good. My hair was dark and shining. Very natural look, comparable to L'oreal Paris. I included before and after pictures.There was a very mild and pleasant smell of herbs during application; definitely less irritating than strong ammonia smell. No residual smell after rinsing off the product, as oppose to L'oreal product.It was fairly easy to apply the product. It can get messy if not careful. Some product dropped on my granite countertop and I was able to easily clean them up with a wet rag. Some product touched my skin. I was able to wipe them off easily with a wet rag/towel. The key is to wipe off the excess quickly and don't let it sit for minutes.I will provide updates on its longevity. With L'oreal product, I did not need to reapply for six weeks. It is too early for me to determine how long the dye will stay on with this product. Some reviewers indicate that they reapply weekly. Given I only use small amount of products per application, this product will certainly be more cost effective than L'oreal product.

Be sure to use a lotion or Vaseline (my preference is Eucerin or Aquafor) to coat your hairline and ears before shampooing. Wear disposable gloves. This product goes on dry hair, leave in ~15 minutes, rinse. Then you can’t wash your hair for 48 hours (for color to set in). It covers grays well but it can darken already dark hair, therefore for touch-ups, I have to find a way to balance that out, maybe using regular shampoo on the rest of my hair or applying something beforehand.

This is so easy to use and covers well. I wanted it to cover grays and it does a decent job. So far, I’m satisfied with this product as it doesn’t leave my hair looking dry or dull.
