🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹In my younger days, I used to love doing jigsaw puzzles, but more recently other activities have taken over, so when I saw this jigsaw puzzle, I decided to get it and see if I still found doing jigsaws as addictive as I used to many years ago.This HOP (House of Puzzles) jigsaw puzzle contains 500 pieces and features a lovely village scene of a horsedrawn carriage outside a country pub. The finished size of the puzzle is 48cms x 69cms (19 x 27 inches).🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹The pieces on this puzzle are larger than standard jigsaw puzzle pieces, which makes it much easier for youngsters or the elderly to handle the pieces. This may also be beneficial to anyone who has sight impairment or manual dexterity problems. As well as the more usual shape of puzzle piece, there are also more unusual shaped pieces included, which do add to the interest.The pieces are all contained in a plastic bag. Also included is a handy brochure showing some of the other puzzles available from HOP, which is a good idea (I have already earmarked my next one !). There is also a form for a lost piece replacement, which again I thought was a great idea, and is something I have not seen before. Mine actually had two of the forms in the box.Regarding quality, the card on which the pieces are printed is a decent thickness, and the colours are lovely and bright. However, there has obviously been plenty of digital editing to the picture. As long as you don’t take the image too seriously, it is a nice enough design.In conclusion, the quality of the puzzle is very good, and I like the fact that you can send for replacement pieces, as well as the the benefits of the larger pieces. I would have liked to see a separate reference picture included, and also a resealable bag for the pieces, but these are minor points. I haven’t completed it yet, but I am certainly enjoying doing it, and have certainly recaptured the “puzzling bug”.

.We all love jigsaws in this family, but Mum is the queen of them. She favours HoP large piece jigsaws, and has bought absolutely loads over the years. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to order a few HoP jigsaws, and we like each of them equally.My family are all coming to me this Christmas, so I am saving this jigsaw - and a couple of other HoP jigsaws - until Christmas. I shall set up two puzzles at a time, a floral themed one and an event themed one.I will update my review and photos once completed. Genuinely though, we, as a family, find HoP jigsaws to be excellent quality, and good valueI would absolutely order again, and I am very happy to recommend.

My, The House of Puzzles - Pony Parade Jigsaw - For Adults arrived in a really nice sealed box displaying the picture.The picture is beautiful of a horse and cart with beautiful skyline and trees and homes with people out and about.- Big 500 Piece JigsawThe House of Puzzles launched in 1999 are a Scottish-born brand and have over 600 puzzles now available for people to buy.The puzzle is well made and the photo is sealed perfectly on to each puzzle piece and is great to sit and do something different of an evening.This puzzle would make an ideal gift for Christmas or Birthday and I think the price of £18.99 is very reasonable and I highly recommend this puzzle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The scene is of ponies and carts being paraded through a village on a summer day – everyone’s out watching the parade and having fun. The picture is made up of lots of shapes and colours, and happily, there are no huge solid blocks of blue or beige - which helps make it easier for beginners to complete. The puzzle is however still interesting and challenging enough to keep more experienced enthusiasts entertained. The quality of the puzzle pieces is excellent – they are printed on thick card that does not bend easily, and they are all cleanly cut with no annoying little snags that need to be pulled apart. The puzzle pieces are big enough to be handled comfortably, and they slot into place quite easily. ‘House of Puzzles’ offers a missing or lost piece replacement service – there’s a form in the box, fill it in and post it to them, enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope. The price at the time of ordering was £15.99, which includes a 16% discount – that may seem a bit pricey for a 500-piece puzzle but this is a quality product, packaged in a very nice sturdy box that would make a great gift.

Given that, the puzzle itself works well and as you spend time putting it together you notice interesting details.Some parts will be challenging, others, for example, the different people, will be a little easier because of the different coloured clothing. One mark of quality and the personal interest that the company has in its customers, is that a leaflet is enclosed enabling you to request a replacement piece if you are unfortunate enough to lose one. Such customer service is rarely found today and, of course, can only be followed through on if that particular puzzle is still in production. Also enclosed in the box is a small catalogue featuring many other jigsaw puzzles offered by this company. If you can find an image you like, this company comes recommended.
