I've loved Linda Goodman since I was around 12 and read Love Signs, since then I've been a collector of almost all her work. I actually owned this book before, and sadly I got into a position that caused me to loose it. Her poetry is funny and candid all at the same time you can relate to her pain, happiness and all the emotions in between because she writes as if she talking to you. I believe that this a theoretical biography of her life through her eyes, and as you read further in you get a better understanding of just how much depth and understanding that she possesses as it seems as if she reveals the most vulnerable parts of herself in this publication. If you're a big Linda Goodman fan I believe this is a MUST have in your collection.

After reading Sun Signs Then Love Signs I thought Linda Goodman must have special knowledge to know the things she did. Then in Star Signs she explained about meeting a Guru. She also mentioned meeting a Guru in Gooberz, the setting was different so I wonder if it was 2 separate meetings with 2 separate Guru's or if she got the details wrong.Because I held LG in such high esteem I was desperate to get hold of Gooberz because of the promises she made about it and because I loved everything she'd written and wanted more.It's about 25 years ago that I read it for the first time, I stumbled across it in a bookshop in London and paid quite a great price for it, but of course I was just happy to have got it and would probably have paid double.So I started to read it and after quite some time I wondered when was it going to get interesting, when would I start to feel like it was my own story, when was my 3rd eye going to start to open.I read it all,but it had such little impact on me that years later I couldn't even imagine what had become of the book and I couldn't remember the first thing about the contents so decided to buy it again from Amazon, cheaper as I ordered a used copy.This time I got about 3 quarters of the way through and I couldn't bear another word, I wanted to finish it but then I thought why should I punish myself. There would have been no point in reading further anyway because it would have been the same as for the rest of the book; reading the words while my mind was off thinking about a million other things because the book was too boring to hold my attention.What I got from it was she had relationships with 2 men who she said were twins of each other and twin with her or something, she loved both madly but chased them away with her Arien temperament.But blamed everything and everyone but herself. All the time reading I was wondering about her 2nd husband, the Taurean who's name she used but who she never mentioned. She also wrote that she lost 3 infants but only the first one was named, she never mentioned all the children she had who were alive and well.The book is long, repetitious, boring, like an annoying friend who only wants to talk about her uninteresting relationship.Maybe it it was written in ordinary style and not prose, if it was shorter by at least a half, if it wasn't so repetitious, and if it just gave information instead of asking questions, maybe it might have been a bit more bearable.I wonder if it's a case of the Emperors New Clothes, every one who read LG other works may have regarded her as highly as I did and couldn't believe the utter rubbish that was Gooberz so all sung it's praises to the sky but do they really believe it?As for me it didn't cause my 3rd eye to open the first time I read it and I'm quite sure it wouldn't have the 2nd time if I could have been bothered to finish it.

In 2009 I kept hearing the word “Gooberz” for months, until I researched it and came across this book. It was an introduction to the next stage of my life that began as I was reading it. It had a big impact on me then, and I am being drawn to read it again.

This book is so special to me. It’s like nothing I have ever read before or will again, and it’s true that it will take on your own life and experiences. I felt as though I was in a spell when I read it. I didn't want it to end, and yet, at the same time, I felt myself thundering towards the climax. Beautiful, just beautiful: the stories, the emotions, the magic. Truly thankful this book arrived at my door when it was most needed. x x x

A book for those needing information on being.

This book is amazing! It's a book written in rhyme and although I have only just started reading it, I am hooked on the content. Linda Goodman has written this book a bit like an autobiography, but the amazing thing about it is the fact that I can already relate to much of the content. It's like your own childhood put down in words. I would definitely recommend this book!
