Must have when rotating your own tires.
Let's me reset the TPMS sensors when I rotate the tires on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2007 Acura TSX. Easier than having to let air out of the tires to pair the sensors and then having to inflate the tires to the correct pressure. The vehicle computer should have a tire rotation function that at press of a button swaps the tire location in it's memory.
