Linux kernel supported high performance 2.5 Gbps ethernet / USB 3.0 interface
I got a couple of those. They work very well, they perform at 2.36 Gbps over inexpensive 2.5 Gbps switches and they are reliable. At full speed they get a little warm but the aluminium housing dissipates the heat quickly.Definitely a good buy although the price is still a notch high.

Easy way to add an ethernet port to my laptop.
This all you need when your laptop does not have an ethernet port. Worked perfect.

Definitely speeds up accessing the internet.
As an owner of an inexpensive "Windows 11" laptop and a "Chromebook" with strictly WiFi connections, this product definitely speeds up the downloading/uploading of data.It was priced well and I would recommend this purchase to anyone.

not much different from my wireless connection.
I got this adapter to see if it would increase the speed of my 5g wireless connection. There wasn't much of a difference since my 5g router is only two feet from my computer. it only increased my speed by 10%. I found that the adapter gets very warm after each use. I would only use it when my wireless gets flaky.

Defective? Max speed 150mbps not 2.5Gbps
Defective? I purchased this adapter to upgrade a different adapter that has a max speed of 1Gbps. I ran the speed tests and the max speed on this one would only hit 150mbps, not 2.5Gbps. I put old adapter back on and ran speed tests and they were at 978mbps. So clearly this adapter is defective or does not test at 2.5Gbps.

Faster than wireless
Much faster than wireless for laptops without a wired Ethernet connection. Simple to use it’s over 4 times faster than wireless.
