Looney Labs Jinxx Pyramid Board GameI spent more time than I'm willing to admit figuring out what was happening with all of the pieces. Once I had read through the instruction manual a few times, I finally figured out that there is no defined game, there are just lots of options with these pieces. I'm a little annoyed that the game board doesn't want to stay flat, as the pieces are very lightweight. My partner and I spend some time playing through the games, and decided that it was worth a date night game. It's not my favorite, but the idea of expanding the collection of triangles for more games sounds very fun. I would recommend this set if you're just getting into Looney Pyramid system, or if you want to add to your existing set.

Despite owning many other Looney Labs games, this was my first entry into the pyramids system. It wasn't a great experience if I'm honest. The rules were overly abbreviated; I had to hit up BGG to figure out how to actually play. The board is folded to fit in the box. I appreciate the small box but I'd rather have a board that lays flat, plus getting all the pyramids back in the box requires some Tetris-like arrangement. The pyramids are high quality and I like the monochromatic scheme.The game itself, once you figure it out, is surprisingly deep and if you're learning it together along with your opponent you'll be discovering strategies together. It's fun but a bit of a brain burner for me.I give it three stars.
