The ONLY Chemical I Use
I've been using Pond Stress Coat for over 20 years and won't use anything else. The time I tried API Tap Water Conditioner, my tank got cloudy....I went back to Stress Coat. It's the best, even though not the cheapest when changing water weekly on my tanks. The regular Stress Coat is less concentrated and I have big tanks, so I use the Pond Stress Coat. It's easier on the wallet to treat with two tablespoons per water change. I don't use any other chemicals in my tanks.

$70 Gallon pond chemical poured out inside the box all over everything and splattered in my eye
$70 Gallon jug of pond chemical poured out inside the box all over everything and splashed into my eye. There was literally a trail of liquid all the way down my driveway and on my porch. He seriously just left it.. no way he didnβt know it was pouring out.

Always Worked Well For Me
You have to do some calculations to get to water/ conditioner ratio right but overall a fairly simple process. The cost seems a bit high at first but the 1 gallon bottle goes a long way for me, (depends on the size of your pond I guess). This product has always worked well for me with no issues. I've been using it about 5 years now.

Conditioner seems to be working fish and turtles look to be in spirits.
Purchased API Pond Stress Coat because our City has added chlorine to our drinking water. I am hoping this will help to eliminate or reduce the effects of chlorine on our fish and turtles? I use a plastic sprayer to spray a low amount of solution on top of pond water. Daily amounts of solution seems to be doing the job. I have been using solution for about two years.

Great Stuff!
I use when I add water to my pond from local sources because our water is chlorinated and very hard. It neutralizes other toxins and heavy metals to make our tap water safer. It helps reduce stress and replaces the fish's protective slime coats as well as helping to heal torn fins and other wounds. Aloe Vera is good for fish as well as people. It must be measured and used according to the instructions on the bottle because overdosing can be harmful. I always mix it with the water I'm adding and use a little less than directed to be safe.

Excellent ammonia remover.
I have used Stress Coat for years in the aquarium and in that situation it is a reliable performer, although I tend to use Amquel now as it removes more 'bad' things. I digress. I have never used Stress Coat in a pond as for de-chlorination purposes I use a three canister water purifier. However, this summer I had a frightening ammonia and consequent nitrite spike in my pond. Usual water changes, more quick fix bacteria added, but to no avail. I saw that Pond Stress Coat was supposed to remove ammonia. The API web site was suitably vague on the subject, but I thought I had little to lose. Added 1.25 litres of Stress Coat to 5000 gallon pond. I took a water sample 5 minutes later. The ammonia was gone. Strangely enough, so was the nitrite, which I do not understand. I would have thought time would need to pass for bacteria to remove the remaining nitrite, but I'm not complaining.A very good detoxifying additive then. The only downside was the Amazon Prime delivery. Ordered Monday, arrived Thursday, not something fish keepers will appreciate.
