This is a bit of a cheat because of course I don't have this collection. But I have all the tracks and more. This is an excellent compilation. One of the best I would say. Dusty's catalogue is excellent and so there will always be gaps even on a 2 cd set like this (and because tracks are spread across different record labels) but the compilers have done a good job here. Every compilation should include Carole King's and Gerry Goffin's 'Some of your Lovin' and 'Going Back'; they are included here.The inclusion of `Live it Up' is inspired ( I would say this - just after she passed away, this is the track that made me say `Wow, she's got it' and go on to buy all her albums). You have here Dusty's greatest chart hits and a smaller selection of her great album tracks. You don't have a decent collection of her post Memphis USA tracks and pre-Pet Shop Boys `come back' albums - these are available on high price deleted CDs.This collection is a great place to hear Dusty's different voices and the high quality of her productions (some done by herself). If you're really interested buy yourself 'Ev'rything's Coming Up Dusty' and 'Dusty in Memphis' both available here at bargain prices. Dusty really is the best singer artist this country has ever produced. She's a soul singer through and through - soul meaning emotional soul to soul contact. She can break your heart and then make you dance and then even make you love folk music. As Aretha Franklin once said to this Irish girl from Kentish Town... 'Go Girl!'

Dusty Springfield is a vastly missed blue-eyed soul singer from the 60's throughout to the 90s. Ever since she passed too soon on March 2 1999 of breast cancer, she became UK queen of pop or whatever they call her. Also ever since she passed, the record companies keeps cashing in on Dusty's legacy almost every year. I am tired of it.But Dusty Springfield "GOLD" is basically an updated version of her GOLD released in 1970. This collection has almost all her singles. Missing ones are some in the 60's and some in Dusty's "Lost" years in the 70's and early 80's like Baby Blue. Nevertheless it is a great collection to get if you're just dabbling into Dusty Springfield or want to get the must have collection. "Just Dusty" is OK but not comprehensive enough for my interest, but this compilation is Creme de la crop of all compilations.I rate it a 4 star only because I am not a fan of compilation unless it offers something new (in this case I am a relatively new fan it is). And also it is "Near complete" missing some singles, but not to fret, I can search for them on YouTube. Doing up "Complete" Dusty Springfield compilation is hard because she went through many record companies and to get them to cooperate is difficult to do.

A great double cd of such a 60's icon, she sings a good song even better, it's really good to relive & hear her great voice again, so anyone who wants to know & listen to Dusty, I would recommend this item!! Many thanks!!

Gold is quite a comprehensive two disc set cotaining 51 songs. Opening with her debut solo single I Only Want To Be With You and closing with her final single release Roll Away. It does cover over 30 years of recordings and all her best knownsongs are here. I felt her early stuff was better than her later releases.

Many of us have too many 'best of' albums of cherished artists, bought over time to catch the odd elusive track or to upgrade to yet another remastered version. This particular compilation really is the only one you need For Dusty. Full spread of career output properly remastered with informative booklet - and all at mid price! A gem.

Very little can be said about Dusty that has not already been said many times before. I selected this collection since it contained all of my favourite tracks of hers and a whole lot more. This is a great introduction to the work of this great singer.

Still after all this time think she is one of the best .

Can't go too far wrong with this set and if you're a Springfield fan then you won't find fault.
