Good quality tool, very little runout

for the wood lathe.its much nicer having tooling that you can transfer between the wood and metal shop (the er collets) to save a lot of money on equipment.

I took a chance on this because of the low cost and Amazon's return satisfaction policy. I was pleasantly surprised at the fit, finish and accuracy of the chuck. Fits ER-32 collets perfectly, MT-2 taper is accurate and has less runout than the spindle I am using it with in a Sieg X1 Micromill converted to belt drive. Very satisfied.

Collets snap into clamping ring. Learned this the hard way.

Great value. Surprised for the cost. Used for my South Bend 9 tail stock. Interested about run out but can't be checked in tail stock. Impressed so far.

Very high runout. I measured .031” runout on a 6” long mill bit. Then I bought the Accusize and it measures .004” runout. But that much is surely the cheap collet that I’m using which has a possible .015 accuracy.

I'm very happy with the quality. Very well machined and accurate.

Not perfect but good enough for my needs.
