My Blue Heaven (DVD)

If you have not seen this movie you need to. Upbeat and funny. Steve Martin does it again. the more you watch it the funnier it gets.

I absolutely love this movie. While it is not the best of Steve Martin or Rick Moranis, it is one of my favorite. This is my sick movie that I watch every time I get sick. One of the more interesting things about this movie is that it along with Goodfellas are both based on Henry Hill. So Goodfellas (spoiler) ends with him going into witness protection and My Blue Heaven starts with him being placed witness protection. Both movies came out the same year too (1990)Anyway watch this movie, Steve Martin is amazing in this movie and he is backed by an all star cast.

This is a classic. Great movie!!

I love this movie. Is the plot deep? No. But the underlying message that it is okay to not be uptight all the time and enjoy life more.Love Steve Martin, as always.If you don't want to merengue after watching this, you might be too far gone.

1990 versions of Steve Martin, also Rick Moranis, Joan Cusack, Melanie Mayron (red-head from thirtysomething), Bill Erwin the clown, Carol Cane as a a sexy woman, even a couple brief scenes with Daniel Stern. Martin’s character is over the top, same with Cusack, even Moranis; this is a family movie and an adult movie at the same time. No drug or drinking scenes, no profanity, there’s a couple long kisses but they’re shot from a side and requires the viewers go use their imagination. Really, a happy movie about a fish out of water.The disc I received came in one of those snap cases with 5he cardboard front and I don’t like those very much and need to figure out how to easily identify that style from the listings.

I was in my early teens when I first watched My Blue Heaven and fell in love with it. My brother and I will still quote the movie and talk about scenes that were hilarious. Recently, I asked my wife if she's seen it and, to my surprise, she said she never heard of it! We watched it together and now she's a huge fan of it too. Steve Martin and Rick Moranis are perfect in their roles, along with everyone else in the cast.My wife and I will try to use the word arugula whenever possible just so the other can reply with "What's arugula?" and the other will respond with, "It's a veg-eh-tahbul."

Such a weird role for Steve Martin! A funny film and duo. The casting was perfect. The comedic timing was awesome. Has some problematic themes but fits the time it was made. The funny scenes outweigh the negativity.

Purtroppo non posso usare questo Cd,.. Errore mio, non sapevo che l'edizione Tedesca non funzionasse in ITALIA... Avevo gia' il Vhs dello stesso che avevo rovinato con il mio PLAYER..FORSE il Miglior Film interpretato da STEVE MARTIN .. I dialoghi SENSAZIONALI in Inglese, non so in ITALIANO..

My and I have always been Steve Martin fans because of this movie, we lost ours a few years ago when friends borrowed and never returned it but was on VHS, just happy to have it on DVD again.
