Useful but I wouldn’t put this on a nice guitar
The product is cheap. It’s basically an extremely thin sheet of plastic laminated on top of a sticky piece of paper. So when you take off the 3M sheet, the bottom of the pick guard is white paper that is directly contacting the guitar. Now the problem what this is what you see in the picture. When looking at the sides of the pick guard, you see the white under the plastic. This looks incredibly cheap, and I’m thankful that I didn’t put this on my guitar.Oh well, should have known, $9 wasted on another cheap Amazon item. Guess I have to give my left arm to StewMac for a pick guard sheet...

Excellent Product
I bought this product to protect the top of my Taylor acoustic guitar. Specifically, my guitar has a matte finish and my aggressive playing style started to dig into the area behind and beneath my pick guard. I brought my guitar to a luthier and his fix was to cover the damaged area with an epoxy. Needless to say this was only a temporary fix and in retrospect I'm surprised the luthier never suggested a clear, adhesive plastic pickguard. At any rate, I took a chance and this product worked perfectly. Basically, you need to first create a jig. I did this by tracing over paper and taping more layers of paper and cutting until I had a perfect match for the vulnerable area. Now, this product is covered with a thin, removable plastic layer so you can trace directly around your jig with a sharpie and simply peel away your tracing. That's about it. I used a kitchen scissor to cut the final piece and an exacto knife for tight corners. Seems to adhering completely and there's no real visual or audible change evident.

Pickguard
Everything was great except for shipping. Package didn't say do not bend so carrier bent and put in mailbox. Luckily there was a big enough space that wasn't creased to use

Worked perfectly for me
Material was a good thickness, was easy to cut and trim and so far has stuck well.

Easy to apply. Next time I would go thicker but I like how it turned out.
Looks flimsy in certain angels but over all they give you what they say. Easy to apply. Honestly I was very excited to receive this item from Amazon and I'm content with it.I recommend finding a pickguard design or picture online then printing it and tracing it. I even smoothed it out with some low grit sand paper.

Pickguard color is just the top layer
I tried two of these. Both have a bright white base underlayment that you can see on the edge after it is cut and installed on a dark guitar. The tortoise color is only the top layer. Also, the material is super thin. Certainly not the best quality. Can't return either one. Disappointed.

Much thinner than advertised
Just received a sheet of the red tortoise material today.Colour and pattern are great, and as advertised.Adhesive cover sheet says 3M, who knows though...Product arrived with kinks in it from being bent/crumpled (not straight creases but v shaped ridges) that will not flattenWorse though, is that this is only 0.4mm thick, not 0.7mm as advertised. For reference, 0.4mm is half the thickness of a typical credit card, and pretty much the same thickness as the plastic clamshell packaging that batteries come in (Duracell AA packaging that I measured anyway).Again, it looks great, and I haven't tried to cut or shape it, as I returned the kinked sample that I received. Will give the replacement a shot when it arrives, BUT THIS IS VERY THIN!!!

Great do it yourself option to cover and protect the worn space on my uke.
This is a great option to protect that heavy wear area I have where the fret board and body of my uke overlap. It took some time to get a smooth round cut using a break knife and emery board, but it looks great.

No merece la pena
No merece la pena para nada. Envió muy lento y el color nada tiene que ver con el del anuncio. Decepcionado..
