Just the best marmalade ever!
Duerrs coarse cut is wonderful… lots of orange, thick, not overly sweet.

Broken seal on lid and leaking product
So disappointed. The lid rim on this jar of marmalade was dented so seal was broken and jam leaked down side of jar. I'm afraid to eat it since there is no way to tell how long the seal has been released. Product CANNOT be RETURNED. Expensive jar of jam in the first place but I wanted to see if it was like one we experienced when we traveled abroad. Would like to be able to rate this product fairly!

Wonderful taste and texture.
Great marmalade…not too sweet with nice pieces of rind. Another easy to spread as one would expect with such thick cut.

Mild Marmalade
Right up front I'd like to state that the 3 star rating is my personal taste of this product and is in no way a reflection of the quality - which would be 5 star. I was initially disappointed with the taste which i felt was weak in flavor - but on reflection I prefer to consider the flavor as being subtle. I prefer tart marmalade's - bitter in fact. You will like this product if you prefer a milder flavor - this is neither tart nor sweet. Also I take my preserves on a toasted, sprouted grain English muffin which itself has a fairly strong flavor, which milder preserves have difficulty overcoming - if you took it on regular or more neutral toast then the flavor would be more apparent. The consistency of this product is excellent - it is firm especially when refrigerated. It is amongst the coarsest rhine I have seen which personally I like - but similar to the overall flavor these do not have the burst of flavor I might expect. Perhaps this is a factor of the type of oranges used - but also I might speculate that the darker than normal color of this marmalade (almost brown as opposed to normal bright orange) suggests perhaps the product is boiled longer than average - although there is no hint of burnt flavor at all. I rather suspect there may be some other fruit involved in their recipe - I thought I could detect some background flavor of another berry - this might explain the mild flavor and the dark color. This could just be me of course - but I'd be interested to hear Duerr's and other consumers comments on this. Anyway it's not unpleasant - just a little odd and interesting. In summary I will quite enjoy finishing this jar of marmalade - but because of my preference for bitter, very citrus marmalade (I pine for the inexplicably unavailable KING of the marmalade world - D'Arbo Bitter M ...) I will not be purchasing this product again - but if you like a milder product with quite a unique and intreaging flavor that is not overly sweet (it's not overly anything except perhaps dark) and is of excellent quality - then you may like this marmalade.

GREAT!
Lots of orange peel. Not too sweet. Sugar-sweetened.

A richer “Smokey deeper flavor”
It took a minute to assimilate the flavors. It does not taste like ordinary marmalade. It’s a flavor all its own.
