Dude these are awesome!
I noticed a lot of people complained about having these arrive with the metal flange being bent, but the metal is very plyable and easy to reshape. A 5 year old could reshape this with a pair of pliers. Not that you would give a 5 year old pliers haha! Anyway, for the price, these are great. They also have a small little knock out for a 12v switch and pre drilled holes to mount a vent fan, so if you want to add a fan later, you can easily do so. I'll just have to wait and see what a year's worth of Arizona sun will do to these, but I'm pleased with these as of now. I will update this review if they don't make it through the year.Update: April 11th, 2022:Still in great shape. Functioning just like when I put them in. :DUpdate: January 8th, 2023:The original two units are still working just as well as the day I installed them. Ordered another one about a month or so ago. Still exceeds my expectations. Definitely a solid buy. No cracks or sun damage. Still very easy to operate. Didn't even do anything to maintain these. I didn't think these would make it this long haha.

Well made and easy to insrtall
I converted an inexpensive cargo trailer into a camper. I added a couple of windows, modified the back door, and added this roof vent. Easy installation: Cut a 14.25" square rough opening in the roof, use a little gutter seal or silicone seal under the flange and set it in the hole. Screw it to the roof and put some extra sealant on the screws. Inside, it comes with a trim piece that covers the rough edges of the hole, and that mounts easily as well. The roof of my trailer was just thin sheet aluminum, so I made a square frame out of 2x4s to go underneath. I had to trim the interior garnish since it looked to be designed for a 2" thick roof, but it trims easily with shears. The unit has a flat knob to open and close the vent so in a short camper you don't stand up and put a hole in your head from a metal crank sticking down. It also has an insect screen and works smoothly and closes tightly. All in all, a great product for the price!

Check measurements!
This is a very good vent, however I see reviews about it having a fan, BUT IT CLEARLY SAYS "NON POWERED, so there's no fan on this unit. Also, the measurements are clearly listed for the inside "garnish", as 2.13",which is the inside bezel, and it isn't tall enough to cover the inside of a 2x4 rafter, which was my own fault because I missed that information. I installed it anyway because I already had the old one out, before I looked in the box when it was delivered, and we are getting a couple inches of rain today. I will have to buy a taller bezel, which will increase the total cost of this replacement, but it's a good value if you're not expecting it to have a fan, or be a complete installation. If i had read the description better, i would have chosen a different one, but overall I gave it 4 stars, just because of the fact that it didn't have the taller bezel "garnish".

A nice, clean look and fit for our pop-up camper...
We liked the ease of installation, and the clear directions. It looks so much better than our old, faded vent. We did find that after a few times out on the road with our camper, the plastic top piece loosens/moves when driving, even though we had closed it tight from inside. Not as quality as we thought it would be, but I don't know if any of the vents are of quality.

Am I dreaming?
After reading the reviews on this item I decided to go ahead and order it. My concerns were whether or not it would ship with the “garnish”, or not, as some reviews said they didn’t get one. A silly name, “garnish”, which is really the inside trim that surrounds the vent opening on the ceiling. I was refurbishing a1984 Colman Sequoia pop up tent trailer with a gargantuan butt- ugly air conditioning unit on the roof. Who puts a huge rooftop 240 volt A/C on an 11 ft. pop up shell? The vent arrived in two days and , gloryoski, it had the garnish, um... trim! Installation began with removing the useless A/C unit. No problem. Demolition has always been my forté. Not knowing what to expect when the roof cut was exposed I eased off the albatross and said out loud “Am I dreaming!? Could it be?” The original hole appeared to be in the 14” square dimension. The new vent required 14 1/2”. If I had to, two small 1/2” cuts would suffice. Feeling lucky, I plopped in the vent for a test fit. It fit perfect! Fellow installers know this NEVER HAPPENS! My love goes out to the technician who cut the original hole! Whoever you are I wish you peace and long life! The rest of the installation when smoothly. After cleaning around the perimeter, use two sided sticky butyl tape, drop the metal vent housing onto the tape, use #8 sheet metal screws into the pre- drilled holes (no need to pre-drill the holes into the roof) The next step was to spluge self- leveling sealant onto the seam between the vent housing and the trailer roof. Do it slowly, cover the entire area. Don’t worry about smooth tooling the spluge as it will, well, sorry, “self level”. Let it set up. It will level perfectly on its own. Next was the inside trim/ garnish: again, perfect fit! Four smaller wood screws will work in the pre- drilled holes to keep it tight into the ceiling . For those of you in Rio Linda, find the YouTube video on this exact same roof vent. I would recommend this vent as it is quite stout and, if you’re lucky, like me, experience a similar dream! Butyl tape, self- leveling sealant, and screws are not provided. Happy splurging!
