Works great for controlling my alarm system from outside the house
I am so glad I found this product. I wanted an easy way to arm and disarm my alarm system from outside the home without having to open the door and quickly get to my control panel. This makes that possible. No codes needed once paired with your system. I also like that it has a panic button too, just in case.

USEFUL ACCESSORY
this was replacement for the original when I first got the alarm system. I keep on my key ring and find it very convenient for setting the alarm as we depart the home. first one lasted well over 7 years.

Works great
Got this from Amazon as it was definitely cheaper than going to the manufacturer themselves

EASY to set up!
It only works with SimpliSafe. And while I wish the user could replace the battery his or herself, when the battery runs down, we can't. The device is glued together. This single purchase replaces the two I purchased when I originally set up Simplisafe about 6 years ago. so the things do last quite a while with modest use. My original thought was to have one on both mine and my wife's keyring, the the things are so long, and the buttons are so easy to depress accidentally, that they are more trouble than they are worth when it comes to everyday use.HOWEVER! We found that they were great when we needed someone to look after our cat. Rather than giving our activation/deactivation code to someone, and then explaining the system to that person. (Cat ladies aren't always the best to explain tech devices to. Some, are, I guess, but not in my experience), It was easier to tell them to press the button to turn it off and the other button to turn it on.So we bought just one to replace the two. We keep it on a separate keychain with a house key attached.

Easy to set up
I bought this as a replacement for my original unit that was failing. The battery was getting weak and there isn't an be a way to replace it. You actually can replace the CR2032 battery inside it, but it is a Bear to open. I managed it and now have a spare, but only did that after I had bought a new one so I didn't care if I tore the old one up or not! This new replacement is inexpensive enough so that you don't have to bother with that. My original was bought when I upgraded my system in 2018, so it lasted five years. The new one is easy to install and instructions are in the box to recognized it from your main keypad. You can go online and disable the old one if it doesn't work any more and you don't need it. I have had SimpliSafe monitoring since 2015 and it has been a great system for me and I use this Key Fob every day.

Quick control for non-app users
Simplisafe does not allow multiple accounts sharing control of the same security system. The issue of sharing the same account is the app quite often requires re-validation, discouraging people from using the system. This key fob is not the best solution but if the fob is well hidden, it provides easy means to prevent false alarm.
