Blended learning means blending Tech seamlessly into your lesson - but not the focus
Love this book and all the author's books. She brings the ideas of blending technology into a lesson to make it a seamless marriage. I love how she focuses on all the ways learning can take place - not JUST in the classroom...which as educators we all need to fully realize and urge our students to become life-long learners and never stop trying to learn something new. It will go with them well into their adulthood. The books is not as much on how to use Google Tools - but how to blend them into the lesson to make them spark that learning on to further learning. It all comes together for a perfect blend of tech and subject matter. My photo is a Booksnap we created in her course on the book. The questions at the end of each chapter make you think about how you can do this in your own classroom. There are tons of links sprinkled in the book to awesome resources. As an Instructional Technology Facilitator I find them all very helpful to use with my teachers.

Kacey Bell, I have so enjoyed this book and it was an easy read!
Dynamic does not always mean technology.. It's about transforming your lessons to make your lessons more student centered and to go beyond the walls of your classroom. I agree with another reviewer that disagreed with a review talking about how this book wasnt really about learning "The definition of Blended Learning is broad, like so many terms in education. In this text "Dynamic Blended Learning is characterized by constant change and activity, growing, and evolving over time." It is student centered, personalized and fits in with the 4C's."Kasey's book is a fun read and I looked forward to the reading and posting each week. I think she put the Dynamic Learning into focus of our uncertain times after COVID in what the year(s) will be like. I do think that that education will forever be changed and this gave me the direction that I needed and how to center my lessons toward the students.

OUTSTANDING
This book provides so many ideas of how to implement effective and dynamic teaching. It is student focused as it will guides one to really think about how to begin with the end in mind. What is the best technology resource to use for the best impact on student learning. It cautions not to use technology just to indicate I have included technology in my lesson. I highly recommend this book as well as taking the online course. You will find an abundance of take away resources to use in your classroom. Very well written. I was in a PD and shared this resource with other educators.

Somewhat balanced book
I took a PD class involving this book.I felt that I got a lot out of the book, however, I had the class to go further and see discussion. I cannot say if I would feel the same if I just read the book on my own.I was looking for ways to use Google Classroom to blend my classes. I teach Integrated math 1, avid, and HS and college levels economics. It showed me many ideas for all my classes. Some of the book was not useful for me, but it was not written for just HS math teachers. But I did learn a lot about GC and it sparked ideas of things I could do that are nt overtly in the book, but I would not have thought of on my own.I recommend the book, but I did it in the class so I got more out of it than just reading the book.

Everyone will learn something from this book
This book was excellent if you are familiar with the work of Kasey Bell and Shake it Up Learning. It tied the concepts from her website and podcasts. No matter what level of techie you see yourself as, you will learn something valuable in every chapter of the book. Completing the online book study was great to asynchronously interact with the content and others. The digital resources at the end of each chapter made implementing the ideas even easier. Even if you are not familiar with this author and her work, you can learn so many new things that you can implement at any time during the school year. #Educator #Techie #Texas

Great Resource for Educators!
I like Kasey's conversational style of writing. I am not a teacher who is very comfortable with technology, but ordered the book (along with Google from A-Z). THis book gave me so many new ideas to use in the classroom!I had already heard about Choice Boards but Kasey (and other educators) helped to demonstrate how to actually do this via Google classroom. We will be using Google Classroom again this year, so I am so excited to take this to my team.I also signed up and completed Kasey Bell's Blended Learning with Google's Book Study. It was the perfect way to spend the short summer break, learning about new ideas and still having time for fun and relaxation.

Basic but even better if you take the free course!
The book is written by Kasey Bell of Shake Up Learning. There are lots of basic things in the book, but it does a great job of providing links to sites that provide examples and free materials. Kasey offers a free course that covers this book. Without the course, I'm not sure I would have gotten as much from the book, but the directed discussion of each chapter really kept me on topic and thinking.

Kasey takes you on a journey teaching you how to move your lessons from static to dynamic!
Dynamic does not always mean technology. It means thinking beyond paper pencil activities and beyond just substituting paper pencil for technology. It's about transforming your lessons to be more student centered and to go beyond the walls and curriculum of your classroom. Another reviewed said this book is not about Blended Learning and I disagree. The definition of Blended Learning is broad, like so many terms in education. In this text "Dynamic Blended Learning is characterized by constant change and activity, growing, and evolving over time." It is student centered, personalized and fits in with the 4C's. Kasey's book is easy to read and you can apply strategies the next day in your room whether you are fully in-person, hybrid or remote.
