VENTLINE/DEX BVD0449-A03 Ventadome Lids and Accessories - 14" Smoke Cover

This item arrived earlier than expected. It is not the most durable material and the sun will eventually dry it out, but hey it is what it is and the cost is not too high so no big deal there. This is a simple installation for the ventline that requires no tools: 1. Raise vent all the way up from the inside 2. Remove screen from inside (snaps out) 3. Go on to roof with your new vent cover and remove old vent (left hand grasp the lid at the raised portion) (right hand pull up on tabs that forms the hinge while pushing in with thumb) 4. Lay your new vent upside down and the tabs on hinge will slide into the openings on the new vent as you flip it over the vent 5. Go back inside and lower the vent until it is a little less than half open 6. Grab raised portion of the lid with left hand pushing toward the hinge, the lid will flex enough so you can slip the nylon guide onto the track. That is it, super easy. I am going to order 3 more to replace the other 2 and keep one in case I am ever in another hail storm. When I do replace the other two I will make a how to video.

Replacement for mine damaged in hurricane. Easy to install

These worked perfect for our 2009 Keystone Hideout. One of our covers was dry rotted so we replaced all 3 (bedroom, bathroom, and top bunk). Installation was a tricky on the first but I quickly became a pro. You have to unscrew everything from the inside first and then get on the roof to replace the cover. They changed the lighting in the RV since the odd covers were white. I call it my moon light since it gives a blue hue.

This cover has the part number molded into it. If I had climbed on the roof before ordering a “universal” cover I would have noticed the number BVD0449 on my damaged original cover. If your cover has that part number on it it will fit. Had to return the first purchase and this one fit perfectly. Also a good idea to check the condition of the vinyl seal around the top of the vent where the metal frame contacts the vent cover.

Sustained some hail damage to my vent cover and needed a replacement ASAP. Found this and voila, installed in 5 minutes and case closed.This is the perfect replacement to the damaged cover.If needed I would definitely recommend.
