Perfect for my needs - read through before making your mind up.
Since arrays have dropped in price considerably, I had been intrigued at getting a set to give them a go at weddings, private parties, etc. Being a mobile DJ for 4 decades, I have learned the delicate balance of value/performance/durability. So far, they check most of the boxes. When taken out of the packaging and used for the first time, its shocking how much volume they pump out in such a portable package. In pairs by themselves, using a compact mixer, with my dj controller, I have found them to be more than adequate for indoors (>100 people). The sound without EQ (even the onboard ones turned on, are a bit shrill. So, properly EQing them is a big difference in performance. The arrays do come apart in 3 sections, the first being a "dummy" simply as a passthrough for connecting one or both of the other columns strictly for height preference. Fairly typical for a speaker like this nowadays. The brain (subwoofer) is slightly bulky. A tad heavier than you first expect. The top handle makes it easy enough to carry by hand. While the 3 pc arrays come with very convenient padded/zippered cases for easy transport, I would've loved to see the CARPO L-2 sub also get a carry case. I've yet to find a generic one that will fit. And being made of plastic, I'm not confident in its long term durability for the road.As most people are saying, for large venues/events, they just don't have the power to reach all the way across the room themselves. But add a single powered sub (or even 2), and its night and day comparison. I've used these for some of the largest parties I've played in the past 12 months. With proper EQing, I've never had them distort, or felt like they weren't enough for any application.Would I rather have a set of EV Evolve 50's? No doubt. But not for the difference in price. After a year of these being in service, I'm hoping to put them through the paces for years to come.I wasn't familiar with Sound Town until about a year ago, but i'm glad I stumbled upon them. And the CARPO L2. It has lightened and sped up my load/setup time without sacrificing quality. Would definitely recommend.

Johnny B. unhappy customer
Don't know how well the system performs because I have not opened the box yet. I ordered a pair of Sound Town Column Speakers for $492.99 by mistake. I thought the system had Bluetooth capability which it did not. I had been searching multiple systems with Bluetooth capability and made an honest mistake of ordering these. My issue is with Sound Town because they sent me return shipping labels via email that were not free return or not even a discounted return shipping label. I was considering ordering the other Sound Town speakers that had Bluetooth but when I took the speakers to FEDEX to return them the cost was over $400 almost the actual cost of the speakers itself. So, it's like I was forced to keep the speakers. The FEDEX agent told me that is a common practice from the small companies. So yes, I'm very upset and displeased with Sound Town. I will never order anything from Sound Town again or any Small Company that does not offer FREE RETURNS.

Some useful Applications
1st - if you are expecting booking low end at high volume- this is NOT for you. Here are some situations this CARPO-L2 would be good for in which blasting out the audience is not wanted:1. Acoustic show with maybe hand percussion such as bongos,, canon etc. could easily handle a couple guitars and 2-3 vocals & percussion. Piano or keys would be ok but remember the low ends isn’t thick at all. For example a bass guitar would be a let down in the low end.2. Speaking, announcements and background music it would be great. Crisp clear at low volume.3. Low volume Dj / background music indoor or outdoor.4. Sports practices/field days for announcements and music. Indoor/outdoor.5. At home, private karaoke for fun. This would rock for that purpose! But not pro karaoke :)6. Rehearsal speaker - all day long.GREAT CALUE AT THE PRICE RANGE!!!! Solid made , great connectors in the top modules. Also a very small footprint. The bag for the top modules is decent! Also the sound dispersion is pretty decent - def a vocal could be audible in an outdoor space measuring 120’ square.Things i personally didn’t/don’t like .1. It’s low end frequency May at best be -20/-25. So bass is nonexistent pretty much2. The DSP IS “Aw-right” but is very restrictive. The DJ or music setting is pretty good!3. No low end boost.4. The TWS is hard to get connected on these things. I have 2 others with TWS and have never got it to work.Again, depending what you want it for-this is a great value, but for what i want, even buying two won’t work for me!Hope this helped!

Super clean looking
The media could not be loaded. I’m a professional dj and I bought these for smaller events I recommend using a 12” sub with these the bass hits but there is way to much highs because the sub is at the bottom and it’s only an 8” woofer. If you don’t have a sub I recommend not using a mixer and if you use Apple Music put the eq at increase bass and it sounds pretty good there is also a bass boost knob on the back but I recommend keeping it at about 1o clock

Carpo LII speaker system
this is about the LII with the 12" subwoofer. I sing, play guitar, and run a drum machine. I play in restaurants and senior care facilities. I'm very pleased with the LII. The subwoofer is heavy enough to be steady, but easy to lift in and out of my hatchback. I was amazed and the nice pristine high frequencies even though it has no tweeters, only 3" drivers. Vocal mic sounds good with no eq. Obviously I use a mixer, since I need 3 inputs. One thing for sure, my drum machine sounds a LOT better with this 12" subwoofer. I have no idea how loud it will go, since it goes plenty loud for my uses at a very low setting
