Great dual water timer
This has worked great for me and I have purchased a couple of them.

Works just right.
This is a basic but usable little timer. You might want to consider that you have to start it at the exact time when you want it to repeat itself everyday. So you can't set it to go off at a certain time. Say if you're going to have it start at 5am for a 1\2 hour, then you have to literally get up and turn it on at 5am the FIRST time. Then every interval that you set it for is based on that 5:00 a.m. time. For instance, if you set it at 5:00 a.m. for a half hour. It will come on again at 5:00 a.m. the next day for a half hour.

Great!!
I recently purchased the Chapin 41001 Single Zone Water Timer and found it to be a great solution for watering hard to reach areas in my garden. I bought two of these timers to ensure proper watering in different zones, and they have been very helpful. One of the major highlights of this product is its affordable price. Compared to other water timers on the market, the Chapin 41001 offers a budget-friendly option without compromising on functionality.Although the timer is basic and doesn't come with any fancy features, it does the job effectively. However, one downside I experienced is that the dials can be a bit hard to read, which can be a minor inconvenience when setting up watering schedules.Additionally, I noticed that the timer doesn't work well with rechargeable batteries. It seems to have difficulty maintaining a consistent power supply with this type of battery. It would be beneficial if this issue could be addressed.Overall, the Chapin 41001 Single Zone Water Timer is a good purchase, especially for its price. It provides a simple and efficient solution for watering hard to reach areas. Just keep in mind the issue with readable dials and potential compatibility problems with rechargeable batteries.

Worthless and very unreliable
The timer is easy to understand and install. BUT it failed many times and miserably damaged my vegetables. I bought 3 of them and have high hope that it can automatically water my vegi bed as it sopposed to. After installing the first one, it worked without problem but only a few days. I begin to notice that my vegetable soil was dry and quickly knew that the valve failed to open. I played with the unit and pulled out the batteris and reinstalled back. Somehow the valve can open. The batteries are all new since I did measured the voltage up to 1.65 Volt each. Bur then, a few days later it failed to open. So I replaced it by a new one. In the meantime I used the 3rd one for another vegetable bed. After a few days, the 2nd one failed to open and who knows how many days without water to my vegetable bed before it failed. By now I have already returned one and got refund since it was still within 1 month return window. But I got stuck with the 2nd failed one since it is just out of the one month return window.Made in China, a complete failure.......

Works well
I have only experienced working with this kind of item twice in the past. I wanted some thing that didn’t need to be recharged, so this was the obvious solution.I have it hooked up to my four-way hose splitter, controlling the garden hose that reaches the soaker hoses. As of right now, our garden is exponentially, better due to taking the human error out of the equation. I figured out how to be able to water several times a day for 10 minutes. The thing I can’t figure out is how to time it for a certain time of day. I’m not quite sure there is a way to do that. I didn’t spend too much time thinking about it because it was not a life or death situation. If you have it set on twice a day it will water whatever time specified every 12 hours. I believe this is the only way that it works, not on a fixed clock schedule that can actually tell the time. All of these things are standard for such a cheap item that does not need any added power to work. I am deathly impressed with this item and have had absolutely no problems with it.

Simple and reliable
Use it to keep waterfall full, 1 minute once a day. Batteries last a year. Owned since 9/23.

leaked water under the inside and corroded
I liked the simple design and timing set up but it's less than 3 months old, it stopped working because there's a bunch of rust on the internal parts because it leaks water inside. The webpage doesn't show how to contact the seller, I would hope that under 3 months it would still be warrantied.
