The thickness and sturdiness is great BUT everytime after wash, the surface turns brown (like the rusty brown color) (likely due to the iron content).Also, they could have attached an insulation over the metal handle for ease of holding when the tawa is hot.

Futura cast iron tawa has a unique shape, which balances its weight. Unlike other cast iron utensils, this one can be easily lifted and moved (when it isn't hot). I had bought an iron tawa for making rotis. However, rotis got stuck to the tawa and never fluffed up because the base was too thin which couldn't bear high heat. Futura has a thick base and even heat distribution. Rotis fluff up on the tawa itself..it isn't very small. One can make decent - sized rotis and paranthas on this.For those who already use cast iron utensils, it's a go to product.As for the exposed handles, one can always use cotton cloth.. in my case, I fluff up the roti on the tawa. Hence, I don't have to move the tawa till the end.Futura is the best brand in the market. Though pricey, its worth the cost. 5year guarantee is also provided.

After one wash it's nonstick layer vanished. Though I have applied oil to prevent rust. Still no change. Returning it after 1 day use. Bad product

Loved the product. Great stuff. Waiting to use it and see how well it works. It sure did make me wait for it but it was worth the wait.

Tawa is excellent.. very heavy.. looks vise great but burns hands when you need to hold handle while making rotis… the company should consider a wooden handle
