Q: Does this enclosure have a glass panel on the bottom for a heating pad ?

Hi, no it doesn't, you can use it without, it is just very important to use a thermostat with your heat mat to make sure it does not get too hot, If you do want a glass panel, then there is a separate viv exotic panel availalble

Hi, dimentions copied from viv exoitcs site for this model are 86.2cm x 42.1cm x 37.5cm. in inches 33.9in x 16.5in x 14.7in. Hope that helps :-)

Q: Would this suitable for a rat snake?

If a rat snake is prone to escapism, then this would be suitable for sure. I'm not sure how big they grow though so couldn't comment on size. Good, sturdy viv though, sits on a normal sized glass TV shelf .
