LC-30 joining great sounding systems at the touch of a button.
This speaker/amp switch is the genius device I never knew I needed. I bought it after my home theater separates went kaput. I decided to build around a Cambridge EXA-100 integrated amp and add in a home theater receiver. I maintained my original GoldenEar front speakers which I love. The LC-30 makes it so easy to switch between theater and two channel while maintaining the excellent performance of all devices connected. The LC-30 introduces no changes to the sound of either set up. And while the meters don't appear to be calibrated, they add a fun vintage look to an otherwise thoroughly modern system.

If you have multiples of amps and speakers, you need at least one!
If you are one of those weird audiophile types that has multiples of EVERYTHING, you need at least one of these. I am one of those weirdos. I have 4 variations of this and this one is my favorite. I am always comparing different amps and speakers. This lets you do it via remote control and stay seated in your listening position. If works well, its easy to use and setup, and looks good. At the price, it is a good value. It is a little bigger than some of the others, but I like the look so that was a plus for me.

Excellent quality and function
The build quality is amazing, it’s solid and realize to look at. Remote is handy. Being able to adjust the sensitivity using the remote would be a nice plus as the needle response varies greatly with input level. A very nice addition to an analog system.

No accurate watts per channel indication
I did like the size and the way the meters looked. Very hard to see the needles in dimmer light. Should be illuminated from the front. Also there is a power meter indication on the meters but there’s no way for this to be calibrated to give you actual watts per channel since it has a variable gain knob. Useless for that task.

Well made, but I have some major quibbles with the design.
I own a number of Fosi products and this switch was a unique Fosi customer experience in that I did NOT love it, and I returned it.PROS: As usual with Fosi, the construction quality is great and the switch functions work perfectly without introducing any discernible noise or diminution of volume. The remote control is convenient.CONS:I was disappointed that the unit does not pass through signal when powered off. I wrongly assumed that the parts of the unit that drew power would be confined to the VU meters and lights, but that is not the case. I wanted the switch to toggle between the output of an AVR and a WiiM Amp Ultra, and I hoped that when I was done listening to music through The WiiM, I could simple park the switch in the AVR position and turn it off, so that when my partner later watches television she would not have to deal with an extra remote, and so that I would not have to leave the switch powered on 24/7 to make that happen. If the switch is powered on, you can turn off the lights on the VU's, but not the status lights.I have a media room that is on the smaller end of medium size, and the needles on the meters can not be seen across the room from the listening area. I do find old school VU meters cool, but only if I can see them. And (obviously), it is rather expensive for something that is simply a switching unit. It is ironic that Fosi sells many preamps and power amps with very high quality components in the circuitry that retail at lower prices. I am the extremely happy owner of several of them.Your mileage may vary, you may love it for your purposes. But for me this was not the right fit.

Meter , By FOSI
So far , it was great with the FOSI BT20 A pro, but I want to use individual amps. But an all around good meter

Does what I want and looks great
I needed a switch to switch between two receivers and one set of stereo speakers. I have a high quality (Outlaw Audio RR2150) that I want to use for music and primarily for listening to vinyl records. I have a Marantz AV receiver for movies and gaming. I could have used a number of switch devices to do this but went with this one because it does this AND it looks great. Let's face it, we like the looks as well as the sound of quality Hi-Fi equipment. The build is pretty high quality with good quality binding posts. As others have pointed out, the meters don't really provide any real purpose but they do 'work'. The switch neither adds or subtracts from the source so it's a win for me. Would be a 5 star if the meters were logarithmic and could be switched to fast or slow response but this, to me, is a nit.

Not made in USA!
Not a real power meter as there is no calibration on the meter movements as to what you're really seeing when the really thin needles jump around you can barely see .Not like real power meter that is calibrated for full scale resolution so you run the risk of blowing your speakers and power amplifier that cost you a lot!Now I have to calibrate it against a Realistic APM that actually does that A lot of tedious work I'm keeping the meter as,I invested in a lot of good banana connectors to hook it up.It is designed to catch the seller with stupid external controller and switch ability that adds complexity to the signal path.So I'm stuck with the thing! It's just for looks, not functionality! It takes years to build a serious stere system, especially on a static income!
