Was not able to get this to work in my 2014 F 150, 2011 ford edge or a 2022 Chevy Silverado.

This seems to work OK, after a few difficulties getting it set up. It certainly isn't our favorite wireless CarPlay system that we've tested though. There are several others that are easier to configure, and even have a touchscreen at this price range. If you need a Wireless Carplay system and specifically do not want a touchscreen, then this might be an option for you, just expect a bit of time reading instructions and setting it up; also not the process for enabling third party apps, which I wasn't super comfortable with. There might be better options in this price range.

This isn't a serious device, it's made just well enough to not be considered outright fraud.

The Autobox Wireless Carplay Ai Box is fantastic! I love that you don't need to plug in your phone every time you need android auto or carplay. It’s really easy to set up and starts up fast. The connection is solid with very minimal lag. Plus, having Netflix and YouTube built-in is a great bonus when you are hanging out in your car. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their car’s infotainment system!

I tried many of these adapters and so far this one has been the best performer. It connects every time, but I have had some occasional bugs, resets, and or dropped connections. That being said, these devices are not OEM and trying to do the job over a very broad catalogue of vehicle manufactures and their respective operating systems, so a little grace is required in their performance. This unit is the most responsive and least laggy I’ve had, and when it does drop the connection or encounter some type of interference or performance issue, it generally self corrects. I only recall having manually reset it (unplug and replug) once. The only noticeable minor complaint I have, is that this unit does not provide any graphics or album cover artwork on my vehicles native media screen. It does with in the CarPlay screen. Like I mentioned earlier this is likely due to its compatibility with my vehicles native operating system. Minor and esthetic yes, but notable. I haven’t dove into the additional features like trying to play you-tube videos and such, as I don’t have much occasion to use such a feature, but I will update the review when/if I try it out.
