Really good pecorino romano.
I thought I was crazy for ordering a costly cheese on-line. However, a good pecorino romano is hard to find. This tastes so good, is fresh and grates easily.

Very TASTY!
I really love this cheese. But I read that this romano style was supposed to be less salty than just plain pecorino. I would hate to see how salty regular pecorino cheese is. Cause this is very salty! I would NEVER order this cheese in the hot months! They pack it in foil lined bubble wrap with a single small ice pack. It is nice and cool now so the ice pack was thawed but still cool. My biggest complaint though is how it is packed. I think the packer should spring for a vacuum machine. They cut the wedge off the wheel and threw it in a bag. They didn't even close the bag. It was just loose in the bag. They only reason that I am eating it is because the foil lined bubble wrap was pretty close to completely sealed. And the fedex bag is completely sealed. But what if the fedex bag got a rip in transport?! Then I would have paid for a 3lb wedge of cheese that I wouldn't eat! As you can tell....this REALLY bothers me! My suggestion would be to at least fold the bag over and put a peice of tape on it. At the very least. Other than that...it came VERY FAST! And is just heavenly tasting! I do HIGHLY recommend! But again,if you order in the summer mths then I am afraid you will receive a hot mess.

As Good As When I Was a Kid.
I grew up in New York and as second-generation Italians we did all of our shopping in Corona, Queens or Little Italy. Since moving to Ohio it has been almost impossible to find a really good Italian cheese. When you do find it, you have to mortgage your house to buy it. I decided to give this a try and was not disappointed! It's a little bit softer than the pecorino Romano that we got from Phil's Lattecceria years ago but the taste is every bit as good. Sharp and creamy and the price can't be beaten.

Good Cheese, Terrible Shipping
This is good cheese, and the price is fair. I have no complaints about the quality. But when you ship cheese on a three day trip in the spring / summer, it needs more than ONE cold pack and a simple thermal bag. I'm sure, as a hard cheese, it will be fine, but I don't like cheese that arrives with oil seeping from it. Add a couple of bucks to the price and pack it better.
